Sure they did a noble thing ...... they perhaps felt the need to get this help in their efforts for removing caste discrimination. On the other hand India has taken a number of measures to right from start in 1947 agaisnt caste based discrimination.
Just to cite an example .... there have been instances of racial discrimination in US .... but surely you won't term US as a racist country !!!!!!
Talk about US when US has 200 million people or 1/5th of its population treated like dirt! (It happens only in India)
