60 gram raw silk..??

Can anyone tell please what kind of fabric is 60 gram raw silk..??
Is it too stiff or is like a soft flow-y kinda fabric..??
secondly, what material duppatta will go with it,other than chiffon..??

Thanks…

Re: 60 gram raw silk..??

Not stiff ... the flowy kind (I think).

It's ideal for getting 'kaam' done on and it's good for shalwar's/capri's as well.

Raw silk itself is a comparatively stiff fabric than gorget and chiffon...best for trousers, quelots as it gives a nice kreeze.....when i was making my jahez joras...i made my chiffon shirts and dopattas with raw silk for trousers...as my wedding was in winters so i also made some raw silk full suit (shirt and trouser) and chiffon dopatta...in raw silk comes the 60g variety and 80g variety....60 gm is a bit flowy than 80 gm...but still both are raw silks so u can imagine that how much flowy can it get....but for trousers...80gm is the best!!!!

any suggestions....??

A lighter silk perhaps chips?

Re: 60 gram raw silk..??

You can use crepe silk instead.
But I would definitely recommend 80 grams for pants, not 60.
