Russian jets have performed 14 combats flights, conducting six pinpoint airstrikes against Islamic State targets in Syria on Friday, according to Russia’s Defense Ministry.
“During the day, the Russian aviation group continued conducting pinpoint airstrikes against the infrastructure of the IS group in Syria,” Defense Ministry spokesman, Igor Konashenkov, said. “Su-34, Su-24-M and Su-25 planes performed 14 flights from Hmaimim air base, during which six airstrikes against IS targets were conducted,” he added.
In the town of Maarrat Al-Nuuman in Idlib province, an Su-25 attack aircraft completely brought down a large terrorist workshop, which was producing bombs and improvised explosive devices.
A nearby IS base, hosting weaponry and military vehicles was also targeted, with ten pieces of military hardware, including several APCs, was eliminated, the ministry said.
A terrorist command center was destroyed by Su-24-M and Su-25 attack aircrafts near the town of Khan Shaykhun in Idlib province.
In the Al-Latamna district of Hama Governorate, guided air bombs delivered from Su-34 bombers blew up a militant’s underground HQ, the Defense Ministry said.
Su-25 aircraft also targeted two bunkers in the same area which had been hosting Islamic State command centers and arm depots. According to the ministry, munitions at one of the depots detonated and caused a total destruction of the bunkers.

Don't know my self who is least of the evils. But I know for sure who need to be put stop to immediately, that is ISIS.
Human suffering under them are too much to bear(bradasht wala)
So I think we should see things from that perspective to keep it simple.

I only heard about asad once one alternate/non-commercial radio,from 2 people professor and writer.
They did not have so much bad stuff against him. So I formed my oppinion that he was as good as a middle-eastern ruler could be.

Both Asad and ISIS are equally bad, both need to go. Asad is the reason ISIS got into Syria, if this blood thirsty animal had heeded his countrymen call for him to step down instead of starting genocide of ordinary Syrians in order to save his regime all this would not have happened.

ISIS is killing innocent civilians + enslaving Yazidi women, turning them into sex slave + destroying priceless historical monuments = EVEN worse.
I would think ISIS is the worst. Assad wouldnt be killing if there were no rebelion tomorow. ISIS would continue its criminal behavior because it think its entitled to.
All in all, I would go with the devil we all know (Assad) then the devils that put that devil to shame.

Wouldn't any dictator resort to Assads tactics in the face of a rebellion? To the best of my knowledge, under GW, suspects were sent to Syria for interrogation. So how did Assad go from ally to villain? (Not saying he isn't, just trying to understand the about turn).

I agree there can be nothing worse than ISIS but that does not mean that we start siding with a butcher like Asad, one who is primarily responsible for this situation. Bottom line both have to go, Bagdadi and Asad both should be bombed to save the people of Syria.

The Russian Air Force in Syria has conducted 25 sorties on 9 Islamic State installations in the last 24 hours, eliminating a disguised terrorist base equipped with tanks, a command center and a communication hub, the Defense Ministry reported.
Russian bombers taking off from Khmeimim airbase knocked out a terrorist base hidden in the woods near the city of Idlib, eliminating 30 vehicles, among which were several Soviet-made T-55 tanks. “Six airstrikes hit the base, and the terrorists’ equipment was fully destroyed,” Konashenkov said.
An IS command post in Latakia province was completely destroyed with a pinpoint strike from a Russian bomber, with fire breaking out at the site.
In Homs province three airstrikes on terrorist infrastructures took out two arms depots. An Islamic State command post near the city of Al-Rastan was also destroyed. “As a result of a direct hit, a communications center has been eliminated. Reconnaissance confirms the facility is no longer functional,” Russia’s Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said. “Last night, aerial reconnaissance conducted by Sukhoi Su-24M bombers hit a terrorist artillery rocket-launching position near the city of Jisr al-Shughur. An accurate airstrike resulted in the detonation of munitions and vehicles,” he added. Also, Russian UAVs spotted an artillery position in Idlib province.

All airstrikes performed by the Russian Air Force aim "to disorganize control systems and deteriorate logistic support systems of the terrorists,” he reported.
Altogether nine installations used by terrorists have been destroyed by Russian airstrikes in the last 24 hours.

This is the guy who used chemical weapons against his own people because they opposed his rule and you think hopefully he will not kill his own people. Will there be any left after he has finished butchering them. he didnt use chemical weapons against ISIS, he used them against his own people. How is he any better than the other b@stards.
His primary reason to get Russia involved is because his own forces are on the verge of defeat despite having air superiority and secondly to continue with his brutal rule. He doesnt give a toss about ISIS. To him the only thing that matters is Asad, the people can go to hell. he has made their lives living hell anyway.
