Re: 5th ODI: India v Pakistan at Jaipur - Nov 18, 2007

Good score at the end but we are a bowler short.

Impressed by a little cameo from Fawad. He should be given more matches.

Re: 5th ODI: India v Pakistan at Jaipur - Nov 18, 2007

At one time Pak looked like they would be lucky to get 260 runs.
Then at another time they looked like they will get to 330-340 runs

Finally, they made 306....which is not that bad from India's POV.

The good news is Praveen Kumar is also a good batsman...so Indian batting just got a little longer.

Re: 5th ODI: India v Pakistan at Jaipur - Nov 18, 2007

20-30 runs short in the end
It will tough to restrict India with a very limited bowling attack

Re: 5th ODI: India v Pakistan at Jaipur - Nov 18, 2007

Sorry to disappoint you SOme1. BUt I believe India will loose this in old fashion. So prepare yourself on your crying scenes.

Re: 5th ODI: India v Pakistan at Jaipur - Nov 18, 2007

good job overall. i think Fawad Alam played well in the end and justified his selection. he should have been preffered over to the clueless abdur rehman. i even started a thread earlier regarding giving him a chance. lets see if we can defend this score . i think it will be tough with only 5 bowlers and very easy wicket

Re: 5th ODI: India v Pakistan at Jaipur - Nov 18, 2007

Lets see lets see, I have a great feeling about this.

Re: 5th ODI: India v Pakistan at Jaipur - Nov 18, 2007

Senior hay yaar, samja kar. This Senior, junior attitude has killed Pak Society.

Re: 5th ODI: India v Pakistan at Jaipur - Nov 18, 2007

Yes, India might yet lose.

But I will take 306 over 330-340 which is the target Pak seemed to be heading for when Malik and Yousuf (thanks to Doctrove) were batting.

Re: 5th ODI: India v Pakistan at Jaipur - Nov 18, 2007

I really hope that I am wrong. I really want Pakistan to win this game to get some confidence before going into the test series. Really pissed off when saw the bowling lineup today.

Re: 5th ODI: India v Pakistan at Jaipur - Nov 18, 2007

True, but we all know about inconsistancy of Pak batting order. Now some good spells by the bowlers in start and we have practially won the match. I'd say we need 3 wickets in first 18 overs.

Re: 5th ODI: India v Pakistan at Jaipur - Nov 18, 2007

I understand, but others have to play as well na. So be calm on this. We will take that home. I was quite suprised by Yasir on 3rd. How come? He had a nightmare against S.A. His selection for ODI's is questionable, he is more the Test Cricketer.

Re: 5th ODI: India v Pakistan at Jaipur - Nov 18, 2007

Some 1 , you should thank Gould for not giving Yuvraj when he was plumb during the 3rd ODI when he was in his 20's. He ended up being the highest scorer. So these things happen. Not to forget his (Gould) stunts in the first ODI.

As I said earlier the umpiring has been way below standard in this series and both teams suffered equally or possibily pakistan have suffered slightly more.

Re: 5th ODI: India v Pakistan at Jaipur - Nov 18, 2007

now India will beat Pakistan in **just **44.2 overs

Re: 5th ODI: India v Pakistan at Jaipur - Nov 18, 2007

yes others have to play as well but that doesn't mean that you play your second string side. Pakistan are playing with their second string side today as if the match is not important at all.

Re: 5th ODI: India v Pakistan at Jaipur - Nov 18, 2007

pak need to strike in the first 10 overs. At least 2 wickets. Conditions will favour Gul and Co. in the start

Re: 5th ODI: India v Pakistan at Jaipur - Nov 18, 2007

It does not matter whether it was Yousuf or Yuvraj who benefited from an Umpiring error....I simply don't like imperfections in the game...being a man of science.

How can I read the glowing praises of Yousuf's innings today when I know that the same people would be castigating him if Doctrove had raised his finger on that LBW call.

What I am trying to say is that such "frequent" human errors that often decides whether a batsman will score 10 or 100 or a team would score 250 or 300 brings a load of inaccuracies into every aspect of Cricket.....the game, the statistics as well as player performance analysis.

Human errors happen in almost everygame but no where as fequently as in LBW decisions in Cricket.
