4-1 to India. India might rest Tendu which gives us some hope though.

Look who is talking here:

Re: 5th ODI: India v Pakistan at Jaipur - Nov 18, 2007

How come I don't see any columns anywhere in the media criticizing Ganguly's poor performance in this series. I guess as long as India is winning, nobody cares.

The guy has been easy meat for the Pakistan bowlers...he has only made some decent runs when given a few chances (like the 1st ball dropped catch- courtesy Akmal). It is sad that a batsman like Yuvraj may have to sit out in the Test Matches so Gangu can play, just to pacify the Bong fans. And of course Gangu's fielding - is super as we all know - esp compared to Yuvraj's ;)

Anyways if it was upto me , I would play the following team for the dead rubber at Jaipur :

Gangu OUT Rohit Sharma IN (Sehwag and Tendu can open - Sehwag cannot do any worse than Gangu)

Zaheer Khan OUT Praveen Kumar IN (Praveen Kumar should be given a look in considering this match is a dead rubber. Zaheer has redeemed himself nicely, btw)

Re: 5th ODI: India v Pakistan at Jaipur - Nov 18, 2007

i think they are resting all the senior players except tendulkar
i read this somewhere, if i remember ill post it

but from what i remember, the new kid rohit sharma will get a game, sreesanth, murali karthik will also play

Re: 5th ODI: India v Pakistan at Jaipur - Nov 18, 2007

 a final match of a series involving Pakistan on sunday

Re: 5th ODI: India v Pakistan at Jaipur - Nov 18, 2007

I think we shoul rest Sehwag, Tendulkar, Ganguly, Yuvraj, Harbhajan, Dhoni, Zaheer.

Re: 5th ODI: India v Pakistan at Jaipur - Nov 18, 2007

As per Cricinfo (quoting manager Lalchand Rajput), the following players would be given a chance : Rohit Sharma, Sreesanth, Praveen Kumar and Murli Kartik

Its pretty obvious then that Zaheer, RP Singh and Harbhajan would be rested. I think Pathan would play. Sadly he is not included in the Test team.

One of Tendulkar and Ganguly would also sit out - it seems like.

I think the plan is good.

Would like to see Praveen Kumar. Apparently he is one of the rare bowlers in India who swings the ball both ways....though he is not very fast.
