** 5th Fabruay , The Kashmir Solidarity Day**

It was Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto who originally declared February 5 as Kashmir Solidarity Day and observed a holiday during his government .
I remember the day , It was a pure peaceful and democratic aproch to show the solidarity between the people on the both sides of LoC. People of Pakistan were showing great response and unexpected response came from the Indian occupied Kashmir . They paricipated like the Kashmiris of Pakistani side . It was looking great after the worst defeat of 1971 .
It continued till 1977 .
"While the question of Pakistan’s motives in extending support and expressing solidarity with the people of Kashmir is open to debate, especially in the light of its growing camaraderie with India, February 5 is nonetheless an official holiday in Pakistan with protest marches held in select towns and cities.
The idea of solidarity assumes romantic overtones as hands are raised towards empty skies, seeking an end to the oppression faced by the people in Kashmir."

In zia era this all stopped and later Zia diverted everything to CIA’s war of Afghanistan , After end of this war JI and others have lot of thepeople enrolled for war so they tried to use them in Kashmir and useless armed struggle took its path , meanwhile Qazi Hussain Ahmad of JI announced this day to be observed again . They were allies of establishment backed Nawaz Shareef those days so they easily revived it .

حوصلے توڑے جاسکے ہیں۔ اس استقلال اور جرات مردانہ پر بجاطور پر دنیا بھر سے کشمیریوں کو داد ملنی چاہیے۔
My family is from Kotli, Kashmir. I've only been there once (2000), but still remember how amazing it was. It was like the pictures you see of faraway places one never visits or a fantasy land. I couldn't believe I was really in such a wonderful place.
Then the van was stopped and soldiers checked our papers and gazed at each one of us (even my children) with distrust before they allowed us to continue our journey. We were traveling from Islamabad airport to Kotli, we hadn't even arrived at our destination yet. We were stopped several times actually.
It's tragic that such an amazing place is destroyed by years of wars and fights. Insha Allah one day there will be peace there. (sometimes I wonder if both Pakistan and India should leave Kashmir alone and perhaps Kashmir could be an independant nation, it would stop the fighting over Kashmir)

This is so true. Pakistan screwed Kashmir policy so badly. One thing they could take advantage of. But again a weak Pakistan cant do anything. Pakistan should first become strong enough to do things that make their say count.
India fears Pakistan’s successful CPEC project, claims Swedish think tank
A Swedish think tank has claimed today that India is afraid of Pakistan’s economic stability through China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
According to the report titled “Silk Road Economic Belt considering security implications and the EU-China cooperation prospects”, India does not want China to perform as a mediator in the disputes.
“There is considerable concern within India that China, which has been neutral on Kashmir since 1963, can no longer be so now that its economic and security interests in these territories are growing in stake,” says a report by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (Sipri) — a Sweden-based think tank.
It further stated that China’s involvement after implementation of CPEC would possibly make it a stakeholder in Kashmir dispute as India does not want to internationalize this matter.
No matter what!!! Only Economically Strong Pakistan can contest the case of Kashmir as per its own interest…beggars dont have say in important or casual matters…

STOP IT ALREADY!!! hum mr jaingay but yeh Kashmir ki museebat nahi khatam hogi. Pehlay Kashmiriyon say bhi pooch lo unko Pakistan chahiyay ya nahi. Pakistan has been the deewana Abdullah in beyganay ki shaadi for the past 70 years now. Its time to stop.
