I read that it was because of "cold" that the joint in the track buckled. I don't buy it since i don't believe it is that cold to cause it since, unlike the US, the tracks in pakistan are in smaller sections. I believe it is the lack of maintenance. It could range from the cracked wood planks supporting the track to rusty joints that haven't been replaced. We are one of a kind nation where we f*ked up even the rather good rail infrastructure given to us by the brits.
