Re: 5 Ways To Make Your Child Love To Pray

Parents encouragement can go a long way!!! we were always praised for doing wuzu and be on the prayer mat on time…!!! Made us want to try harder always.

Love the part where she mentions by taking the softer approach with her children and seeing the difference with keeping up with their Salaat :k:

Thank you for sharing…Needed to see this

Just saw this on FB and then I found this thread

How cute is this, Subhanallah!

Re: 5 Ways To Make Your Child Love To Pray

Very well written :k: and I agree with @Royal Gala, parental encouragement goes a long way. Along with that, leading by example is just a must - you cannot expect your kid to pray if you aren’t praying your prayers

We started focusing more on prayers at home last year when my son was 6,5 years old. Up until then he used to pray whenever he was in mood or when he saw us praying. Before we started I let him pick out his own prayer mat (he picked the one his dad had also used as child  ) and we bought him a small tasbee and a prayer Clock for his room to remind him. Alhamdulillah today he prays all his prayers, even those he misses when he is not at home, as soon as he gets home Mashallah :arzi:

A few things that helped all of us become better

  • Trying to pray together as family. We all pray together when we’re home. The kid reminds us if we haven’t seen the time or missed the azaan.

  • A lot of talk on the importance of prayers and why is it important and good for us (on kids level of course)

  • Positive encouragement.
