Please give me a list of 5 star hotels in Karachi/ and Islamabad. Ive heard of Pearl Continental. Anything else?.. any hook ups would be nice. :D.

Well, Dunno about 5 star ranking.. but here are the REALLY good hotels in both cities
Karachi: Pear Continental, Sheraton, Avari, Marriot
Isl/R'pindi: Pearl Continental, Marriot

BTW my cousin was pushing me to a hotel named "...City..." in karachi. Thats all i heard. Ive seen photos of it. It seems nice. But whats the name. Anyone know?
Atleast in Karachi the rates were rock bottom.. especially after the bomb blast across Sheraton and PC. At that time, Sheraton was offering room at 1,800/night.
Karachi actually has some other good hotels too, but I have not seen them from inside. One of them is Crowne Plaza on Shahrah-e-Faisal, formerly known as Taj Mahal. THey remodeled it. I am not sure how good or bad it is. Then they also have Beach Luxury, owned by Avari folks.
In the suburbs of Isloo, they had opened a Best Western, but it can't be deemed a 5-star by any stretch of imagination. They also had the Islamabad Hotel, which changed its name a couple of years ago. Dunno the new name (proly Holiday Inn), but it is in really downtowinsh location.
In the last few years, there may have some new ones opened up. I dunno.

Which hotel? How many rooms???
Marriott of Karachi. 3 Persons , 1 Room. 175USD per day + 20USD for fold bed. For 8 days.
Contacted Sheraton about that 1,800rps deal. "Never existed" they say. 1,800rps is actually VERY cheap.
yaaar talk to them like a desi, tell them you are coming in from quetta. these ppl are way to good in fleecing ppl from abroad.
Do also try in Islamabad:

Ambassador
or there are other good choices like guest houses:
Jacqueranda (front of Jinnah Super) (really nice!)

in islamabad, there is no 5 star hotel.
Hoiliday Inn, which is in g-6 is a 3 star hotel.
i'm guessing that marriot is 3 star too but i'm not quite sure.
don't know much about karachi.
and btw, why do these "friends" of yours want to live in a 5 star hotel.
why can't they just live in a good hotel that has no rating. G-8 centre is filled with these kind of good Inns.
i lived in many of them in Islamabad and they are really good. the prices are cheap too. if they have to go swimming or somethin than why don't they go somewhere else in the city.
Islamabad could be really expensive but if you know where to look, it could be cheaper than Karachi.
and yes, do say that your from around the city or somethin' cuz if you do, they might as well give you a deal even cheaper than the regular one....................and don't be afraid to do some bargaining.
Last good piece of advice............ Never call them. Just go there and book yourself what you want.
Serena is 4 star
and holiday Inn is 2.5 star.
Best western is 3 star i guess
