Hundreds of workers of the Pakistan People’s Party brought out a rally to welcome the decision of party Chairperson Benazir Bhutto about her return to the country. The PPP workers assembled at the residence of Pir Zaman Shah Rashdi in Pir Jo Goth and raised slogans in favour of the party and Benazir Bhutto. Addressing the rally, Taluka Khairpur President Sayed Amjad Ali Shah and Khairpur city President Muhammad Salih Ansari said over 5 million people would welcome Benazir on her arrival to the country. They said the present government has realised that the PPP is a big and organised party of the country and only Benazir can take the country out of the present crisis. They said the PPP would not accept Musharraf in uniform. They said Benazir has not entered in any deal with the present government, adding the anti-democratic forces are exploiting the situation.
Bhaijan, I know the concept of democracy is new to many Pakistanis as they had never had any before President Musharaf came to power, but a person must be allowed to support a leader of their choice, even if it is not the same as yours. This is called real democracy. Enjoy it while it lasts.
PPP is usually more successful in 'transporting' people to places, unless govt. does something to stop them then big population is likely to show up (not necessarily 5m).
It will be good for the economy as the plundered PPP wealth will be distributed at Rs 200 per soul day wage among the unemployed poor masses for the welcome. :D
