Terrorism hits Indian capital.

I was watching the aftermath of these blasts on Star TV and what horrified me apart from the blasts itself was the total lack of any coordinated response on part of the indian emergency services. Not an ambulance was in sight and people were shifting the injured and dead in Rickshaws and Taxis.:frowning:

^^ You would expect that when you're having bimonthly blasts around your country your major cities would have a proper emergency response plan.

Feel bad for the people chillin at these spots on a friday evening.. next think you know.. bomb in yo face! India needs to pass that strict anti terror law ... give the cops/investigators more power!

Just watched a kid of around 8 years old who was selling balloons near to where the first blast took place. The bombers wired him up as well and the police was taking him away to a safe place right through the crowded people and the cameramen blocking their way to get a picture and guess what, they took him away in a rickshaw. :smack: The guy potentially had a bomb wired to him and he was being casually taken away in a rickshaw. Talk about height of stupidity.

enough of this terrorists attacks ...be it in Pakistan or India.. thats just so sad!.. these people who plan these cowardly attacks dont even know why they do it.. what exactly is the purpose of killing innocent lives?..they need to come forward, say from their freaking mouth what they want and if it doesnt get fulfilled by the government then find other means to make whatever u want happen.. but what the hell do they get by bombing?.. do these attackers have no conscious or whatever?

May these terrorist burn in hell and may they never find peace while they're in this world. ! :@

They are playing with the patience of masses.

This has become a pattern. There is no way with the current police and intelligence establishment that these acts can be prevented.

1) Social change: Bring in more people into development. Unfortunately many of the terrorist acts in India are committed by rich and educated and not the rural and illiterate folks.

2) Improve Police: Improve the quality of people in the police force at all levels. The current IPS officers might be good, but remember the basic constable with lathi on the road is the most important guy.

3) Improve intelligence and co-ordination: Our intelligence is pathetic. Maybe we have all the outdated practices of info gathering. Get in the best brains of the country. There are a lot of people with the calibre who can think out of the box. The solutions might be very radical. But, we must be prepared to implement them and for God's sake do not leak them to the media. At the same time harassing innocents will lead to further alienation. Good intelligence will prevent or reduce the incidents of innocents being caught in the muddle.

4) Improve emergency response: Ofcourse this is not prevention, but as Ehsan bhai noted our emergency response in Delhi is pathetic. If the ambulance cannot reach before the television cameras then there is something very wrong. This one achievement is enough to sack the state health ministry.

Most important is the political change. We have people who try to take advantage of everything. That has to change. Parties should put the country first and then people and then comes religion. Individuals come last. But unfortunately the order is reversed.

That is not appropriate behavior. As a human being we should condemn barbaric actions regardless of who carried out on who. Whether its in Sudan, Bosnia, East Timor, Sri Lanka, India, Afghanistan or Pakistan, a crime is a crime and it should be condemned.

India has at least 7 separatist movements, but its weak ass police force will, as always, conclude a sketchy "investigation" and blame it on pakistan.

accepted responsibility for these blasts, in an email

india is more of a terrorist nation then pakistan, they have been killing people for more then 50 years, just because, media is on india's side doesnt mean the opposite.

any ways, i am sad ppl died in india, this is not a world i want to live in, i have india-hindu friends as well and i can feel the pain.

i dont like when ppl die. but this is a reality of the world we live in. greed & power.

I don't think US has bomb blasts going off every week or so, but they do have ambulances to take injured/sick people off from one place to another, even choppers. In Karachi there aren't bombs going off every other day/week but we have ambulances taking injured from one site of injury (accidents) to hospitals.

I would definately care for my relatives in Pakistan given the situation there.
