1 - Fair and Lovely (To keep me looking like snow white)
2 - Vicco Turmeric Ayurvedic Cream (To maintain a lovely yellow complexion, desi equivalent of self tanning lotion when used on top of above mentioned fair and lovely)
3 - Mustard Oil (for fragrant smelling dark and greasy hair)
4 - Jolene bleach (so that the hairs on my upper lip can sparkle in the light)
5 - Jasmine scented talc (So that when I can smell like chamelli on a hot day).
How** DARE** you forget my beloved Tibet Snow, Ashe Skin Whitening Cream, Stillman's fairness cream, Bio Nikhar, Archies, Emami Fairness, English Fairness Snow cream*????????* HUH???? All of these I mix and blend together in a lovely jar, which I humbly title, "Redvelvet's Beauty Secret".
^Mind you....I use a porcelain jar for my cute concoction. In the hopes that I will have....you know....porcelain skin. And I also made sure to put a sticker of a GORI **on my porcelain jar.....you know.....in the hopes of becoming GORI GORI myself!**
But....don't you vorry. I also stay true to my desi hertiage. I oil my hair regularly with Dalda Banaspati Ghee....you know.....for that lovely glistening effect. And then I vear my hair in two braids and tie with a RED ribbon. It MUST be *Red *(because my name is Redvelvet) and also becase red contrasts nicely against my black oily....i mean glistening...braids.
And when I have the time, I spritz myself with my special fragrance called Eau de Saag. Then I go out...i just run through the fields of mustard flowers.....my daily exercise. Sometimes I intensify my workout routine...by pumping water from the well.
This is true byooty, I tell you! All these things, I can't live without.

Olay Moisturizer - best for combination skin
Neutrogena Deep Clean face wash - Best cleanser for my skin
ROC Microdermabrasion Cleansing Disks- Give great results when used daily. I cut them in half coz i think the disks are kind of big. I love them!
Maybelline's Great Lash Mascara - It should be priced higher, I feel guilty paying $4.49 for it. It compares to Lancome's Defincils, my favorite!
Bare Escentual Mineral Makeup - I can't live without it. It gives me the coverage I need. Just perfect!

^ I normally don't like to use mascara because I hate scrubbing it off afterward. BUT I do agree....Maybelline Great Lash mascara is very nice.
Saw it at the grocery store being sold for quite a nice deal. One package containing TWO bottles of mascara for $ 4.49. BUT, it was in dark black....and I prefer it in brown.
I should have bought it, but I didn't. Because I've gotten used to not wearing it. Hmmm...should consider picking it up soon.

4) Maybelline Lash Stiletto Mascara Why I love this: I saw the commercials for this product start last month on tv here in Cali and I thought it was just another stupid gimmick, but I bought it and OMG it works wonders. I have thick lashes but they are short. This mascara makes my lashes so looooooooooong! It doesn't curl, it doesn't thicken, but man oh man are they long. Its like my lashes are wearing high heels. Definitely worth the 5 bucks i paid for it on sale.
I bought this today! Dont know why though, b/c I still have my greatlash, (and the dior/bare minerals mascs too). cant wait to try it tomrw!

Mehendi…that’s one thing that Alhumdolillah we have throughout the year at my home, lol. Last time my mom went to Pak…my khala got her a whole box full of mehendi cones known as “dulhan mehndi” because of the darker color it yeilds.
One thing I want to try out is…MAC strobe cream. But I’m gonna wait until I my few pimples have been vanquished. Don’t want to highlight my pimples with strobe cream.

What does a strobe cream do?
Oh yeah I have heard about Dulhan mehndi, we have it in our house right now. My sister is a fanatic:cb: I mix coffee powder and loose tea into mehndi powder and then pour boiling hot water inside. Let it sit for like 5 minutes and then apply it to my hair every friday. It becomes so cool after that!

I’ve done that as well, but not with the cone mehendi. I use the tea technique to get a richer color out of powder mehendi. I take water and put a tea bag in there, and then when the water turns red (due to tea bag), i take the tea bag out and mix that water into the mehendi powder.
Applying heat to mehendi can lead to a darker color design. Some people use a hair dryer. I hold it above the electric stove for a few seconds at a time. And some people say that applying eucalyptus oil (or other oils) and even VICKS after rubbing off the design can darken color. Interesting theories, lol.
Strobe cream…adds a glow to the face. Western and Desi celebrities supposedly use it for that dewy look. Can be mixed into foundation for a glow. Or can be applied to skin alone (to certain areas or entire face).

Well I always put oil on the mehndi once it starts to dry. Trust me it works! I have done hair dryer too! Especially during the eid times when it is cold in Dubai, everyone just puts mehndi on their hands and dry it off using hair dryer, even in the saloons.
Oh so we basically do the same thing but the technique is different. You use the tea water, I actually use the loose tea in the mehndi powder.

-Novartis Lid-Care Towelettes (eyelid cleanser/eye makeup remover) for sensitive eyes
-Persian cold wax (you do have to warm it up, but works very well)
-St. Ives Apricot body scrub (softens the skin and prevents ingrown hairs)
-Palmer's cocoa butter (smells great and softens the skin)
-Revlon ColorStay Liquid Liner - for when I feel like wearing a bit of make-up
