I’m always looking for new beauty products and I don’t want to go through the hassle of trying something for 3-4 weeks and seeing if it works and wasting my money, so I thought it would be nice if we all made a list of 5 beauty products that we all swear by and cannot live without. They can be hair/nail/makeup/skincare/ you name it. That way we will be introduced to new products that we may not have tried before and we can ask people who have tried them before if we have any questions (You can post more than 5 items, I think it would be nice if we had at least 5 from each)
Ok lets get started! Here’s my 5:
1)Oil of Olay Complete SPF 15 daily moisturizer for sensitive skin
Why I love this: It is extremely light, does not feel greasy at all. it has not clogged my pores but it wonderfully moisturizes and leaves my skin feeling soft and fresh. It has no apparent scent and doesn’t feel or smell chemical-ish. And its long lasting, I apply once in the morning after washing my face and it lasts me well into the evening (Constant wudu does affect this a bit).
Arrid XX Anti-Perspirant
Why I love this: This is a mens deoderant. I got tired of using female deoderants, they were weak, ineffective, and more expensive. All they did was come in cute colors and nice fragrances but none of them ever stopped sweat. Well men sweat more than women do and therefore their deoderants are stroner, and more effective! This deoderant keeps me dry as a desert.
Coconut Oil (for hair)
Why I love this: It smells heavenly, I massage it into my scalp once every other week and it is a really good moisturizer for my scalp. it gets rid of dandruff and it leaves my hair silky and shiny!
Maybelline Lash Stiletto Mascara
Why I love this: I saw the commercials for this product start last month on tv here in Cali and I thought it was just another stupid gimmick, but I bought it and OMG it works wonders. I have thick lashes but they are short. This mascara makes my lashes so looooooooooong! It doesn’t curl, it doesn’t thicken, but man oh man are they long. Its like my lashes are wearing high heels. Definitely worth the 5 bucks i paid for it on sale.
Nivea A Kiss of Moisture Chapstick spf 4
Why I love this: Its incredibly softening and moisturizing. I get really dry lips but i keep this on hand, it works miracles. It comes in a big fat stick so you get good coverage and it is long lasting. Its great to apply right after exfoliating.
BurtBees chapstick- I can’t imagine using anything else, it’s so moisturizing and leaves that tingly minty feeling.
Olay moisturizer- SGC introduced me to it and I just loooooooove it. I hated the greasy moisturizers and this one is so amazing. Just last week while using it, I realized it was almost finished and I needed to get more.. the same night, my hubby’s grandma gave me a present and one of the things in there was this big bottle of Olay so that made me all happy.. turns out, she uses it too
DKNY Be Delicious perfume- It’s light yet has such a refreshing smell.. it really brightens me up. I have been using it since 2 years and just bought E.L’s Beautiful Love but it’s nothing special to compared to DKNY.
Jergens Shea Butter/Eucerin- I became a diehard fan of Shea Butter when I burnt my face about 1.5 years ago and my skin was so bad and dry that I could not even sleep at night and I used to cry in pain. It used to hurt to even talk or smile. I tried everything from olive oil to aloevera and nothing helped me. Then I was at walmart one day and randomly picked up Jergens for hands but used it on my face instead and it was such a blessing. Eucerin is great for hands especially the calming cream. I am highly prone to allergies/rashes so it works great for me.
Baby Wipes- I used to buy cleansers, neutrogena wipes, makeup removers and what not until I found these wipes and now I am hooked. It wipes my face clean of any makeup traces, I use it alot while traveling to clean hands, I use it to clean laptop screen, phone, basically everything! My sister and cousins joke around saying it’s for a baby’s bottom but who cares, it works awesome and costs barely anything.
L'oreals new 6 hour Glam lipgloss, in all shades, yes I bought all of em.
Revlon's cream eyeshadows, i have all pallettes
Napoleon's Autopilot
and Revlon's Colorstay eyepencil, This baby never bleeds. Never, you put it in your waterline and it'll still be there instead of bleeding out and about
Body Shop Body Butter (passion fruit) - leaves skin amazingly refreshed, supple and soft. Don’t even have to wear perfume sometimes because the body butter itself smells so nice.
Bourjois liner effect mascara- eyelashes look really long and un-clog. Each lash is defined.
Nivea Young Control Shine mattifying cream- Leaves skin feeling flawless, smooth and even.

still looking for that perfect makeup remover, i've tried baby wipes, but gasp i find em kinda harsh. maybe 'im using the wrong ones =//
^ really by johnson's? dont recall seeing them, but will def try em out once the ones i have run out. Thanks
if you want to try a cleanser for removing makeup instead, go for cetaphil for sensitive skin. it's really gentle on skin and great for removing makeup. baby wipes are great but i find them very harsh for eye area as it's quite sensitive.
1) MAC's techno colour eyeliner in black - I absolutely love this and cannot do without it
2) MAC's pro-lash and zoom lash mascara
3) MAC's studio fix compact - I love this as it instantly evens out my skin without being heavy like a foundation.
4) Blusher
5) Bobbi brown eyeshadows, mostly the colour 'bone' which I use all over my eyelid and the colour 'Gold'.
