normally people are not conscious of these sort of things.. whenever i read up on these sort of things and try to implement them, i'm overwhelmed and forget about them in a couple of weeks :-(

I have a lot of fruit just bcz I like it. It is difficult to follow guidelines if they dnt suit your lifestyle. I e as t fruit for breakfast and as dessert
One serving of fruit during breakfast, one each at snack time.
One serving of vegetable each at dinner & lunch & sometimes breakfast. Sometimes on my good days I don't count my servings & end up doing 10-12 servings of fruits & veggies combined.
Sometimes I just do half serving each of fruit & vegetable at all meals. Whatever I am in the mood for that day. Not being rigid helps me consume more fruits & vegetables than when I actively count & try to get minimum servings a day.
Also I snack on baby carrots, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes. Fruit options are obviously endless. I do however make sure to get my protein in at every meal/snack so I feel more satisfied & don't get hungry easily. Look up food servings. You will be surprised at how small one serving actually is, hence making it easier to do the minimum 5.
