This is a diet popularised by Michel Moseley. I haven’t really gotten around to trying it yet. Will be starting tmrw. That will be my first fast day . You eat 500 cals on fast day and normal on non fast day.
5:2 diet
Tried it for a whole month in January. Didn't lose an ounce. I didn't gain anything either, but was quite disappointed.

saimab33 that must be very disappointing. i think the eat anything on non fast days is not for me as i am an over eater, so i am watching what i eat on non fast days and not going over board.
Hmmna any weight loss ?.

Lost 2 kg since I started. :) haven't exercised at all so I can understand the meagre weight loss. Will start exercising soon too.

Great. Weight loss is simply eating less calories than your body requires. This is actually a good method in my opinion but one should be wary about properly tracking the amount of calories. Also don't over-compensate on non-Fasting days. So 500 on Fasting days 1500 on non-Fasting seems really good to me and has worked for me in the past. Good luck!
