Re: 4th Test - Eng vs Pak - Oval, 17th-21st Aug.

and while we're doing replacements could we drop akmal and just tell bowlers to squeel their own encouragements?

Re: 4th Test - Eng vs Pak - Oval, 17th-21st Aug.

not really :)

Re: 4th Test - Eng vs Pak - Oval, 17th-21st Aug.

40.3Danish Kaneria to Mahmood, 4 byes, ah, should have been out. Mahmood came down the wicket aiming to hoick that over mid-on; instead he completely missed it and should have been stumped by yards but Akmal didn’t even move and the ball flew past his gloves really easily

 Akmallllllllllll

40.4Danish Kaneria to Mahmood, no run, a huge shout for lbw. Quicker delivery, straightening, but that might have been a touch high perhaps. In fact, Hawk-Eye has it hitting middle stump easily. The batsman was lucky there

Darn! Mahmood shoudl've been out twice!

Hats off to Mohammed Asif, also Umer Gul is just getting better and better with new ball :k:

Re: 4th Test - Eng vs Pak - Oval, 17th-21st Aug.

No shyt! Is the wicket helping the bowlers or are we actually bowling well?

Re: 4th Test - Eng vs Pak - Oval, 17th-21st Aug.

Do you guys realize how much difference NOT having Sami in your team makes?

Forget about taking wickets, as I stated on numerous occasions, he leasks runs and pressure, and prevents other bowlers from taking wickets.

We should have played ANY other bowler in place of Sami, as long as the other bowler could be more economical. He might not have taken more wickets, but at least he would not have 'actively' helped the batsmen get settled either.

Yesssssssssssssssssss :dhimpak:

1 concerned though. Why Faisal and not Razzaq or Afridi. I mean Razzaq is much more reliable in batting than Faisal. and so is Afridi. Besides another bowler :naraz:

Re: 4th Test - Eng vs Pak - Oval, 17th-21st Aug.

can anyone update the score please thanks..

Re: 4th Test - Eng vs Pak - Oval, 17th-21st Aug.

England 158/7 (47.5 ov)

Re: 4th Test - Eng vs Pak - Oval, 17th-21st Aug.

*How one classy bowler makes a difference. Runs through the top order and suddenly the team which kept scoring 500+ in each innings and we could not get them out is now struggling. *

Hoggard gone… Asif gets his fourth! :k:

Re: 4th Test - Eng vs Pak - Oval, 17th-21st Aug.

I really hope that Asif sends a really strong signal in this match on behalf of Pakistan’s real pace attack, to English side and rest of the world, that how hollow was English victory in absence of Shoaib, Rana, and himself.

England 163-8
Asif gets his fourth :dhimpak:

See whether Pakistan will bat this afternoon...

Re: 4th Test - Eng vs Pak - Oval, 17th-21st Aug.

wah wah Asif takes one more :k:

England 163/8 (50.3 ov)

Re: 4th Test - Eng vs Pak - Oval, 17th-21st Aug.

Still plenty of overs left to bowl England out today and that means real tests for Farhat and co if they bat today.

Re: 4th Test - Eng vs Pak - Oval, 17th-21st Aug.

Razzaq is not more reliable, plus he has been out of form. Faisal being a specialist batsman, is more suited to the job. And we do have an extra bowler in Mohammaf Hafeez.

Re: 4th Test - Eng vs Pak - Oval, 17th-21st Aug.

Thats what I said when we had the poll ‘who will win the series’ before the series started, that due to absence of our main strike bowlers it will be impossible for Pakistan to win. Now out of three only one is making a huge difference, think about if we had Akhtar and Rana available for whole series. England would have been on its knees (I can swear). BTW, I voted against Pakistan win and I was damn right.
