4th Test - Eng vs Pak - Oval, 17th-21st Aug.

Re: 4th Test - Eng vs Pak - Oval, 17th-21st Aug.

Still they are using old ball. They were planning to get new ball in this over.

Re: 4th Test - Eng vs Pak - Oval, 17th-21st Aug.

Again not a century from an opener...at least in this series...

Re: 4th Test - Eng vs Pak - Oval, 17th-21st Aug.

Re: 4th Test - Eng vs Pak - Oval, 17th-21st Aug.

Bad light stops play.

Re: 4th Test - Eng vs Pak - Oval, 17th-21st Aug.

I think Pakistan should make a lead of 200 and put England to bat.

But I doubt Inzi would do that.

Chalo drink kar lo thori si...

Re: 4th Test - Eng vs Pak - Oval, 17th-21st Aug.

You think wrong. We shouldn't have to bat again, or at the most, not have to chase anything more than 50-70 runs.

IF we declare after 200 (probably by the end of day today, light permitting), we will be giving England a chance to recover and save this match, and maybe even give us a 200+ target. Why should we lose the advantage our bowlers gave us for no reason.

Re: 4th Test - Eng vs Pak - Oval, 17th-21st Aug.

yeah. They should play faster now and get a lead of about 200-250 and declare. I think Inzi might go for it because now the bowling is quite reliable.

Re: 4th Test - Eng vs Pak - Oval, 17th-21st Aug.

They should not declare before 350 lead :snooty:

Re: 4th Test - Eng vs Pak - Oval, 17th-21st Aug.

They shud bat another session and a half add about 150+ and then declare.

Re: 4th Test - Eng vs Pak - Oval, 17th-21st Aug.

If possible we should bat all day tomorrow and than let England bat out the last two days. What's the declaration hurry????

Re: 4th Test - Eng vs Pak - Oval, 17th-21st Aug.

^What if a whole day is rained out, thats the dilemma Inzi will be facing.

Re: 4th Test - Eng vs Pak - Oval, 17th-21st Aug.

The weather is not looking good for next three days :frowning:

We should pile up as much runs as possible and put England to bat with 300+ minimum lead. We might not need to bat again. Inshallah.

Re: 4th Test - Eng vs Pak - Oval, 17th-21st Aug.

There's no problem if he keep scoring and maintains consistency; however there is a problem if he fails in the future and still gets selected. We will have to wait and see............

Re: 4th Test - Eng vs Pak - Oval, 17th-21st Aug.

Who said Yousaf was a flat track bully?. I have never stated that he was a flat track bully - in fact I have always rated him as a class batsman…

Re: 4th Test - Eng vs Pak - Oval, 17th-21st Aug.

Any chance of play to resume?

Re: 4th Test - Eng vs Pak - Oval, 17th-21st Aug.

If Pakistan want to win this match…I think we should declare now…take a bold decision…voilá… :k:

Re: 4th Test - Eng vs Pak - Oval, 17th-21st Aug.

Another magnificent day for Pakistan, this is what we wanted from our openers to pile up runs and Farhat and Hafeez did just that. This gives our middle order to increase the lead, Mohammad Yousuf is looking great as ever and Inzamam is just on the crease. If only we had this luxury in previous Tests, anyway as the weather is not looking good I think the team should declare after 250+ lead. This will give us enough time to bowl out England and even if they take a lead, I do not think it is going to be big enough to cause us any trouble. Time for Pakistan to go for the kill, I hope Inzamam goes aggressive and so will Faisal and Kamran. It is time to get quick runs because weather may not be on our side.

Re: 4th Test - Eng vs Pak - Oval, 17th-21st Aug.

If you never said that, then you should not have any problem with my statement:hoonh:
