Out of 3 fours in last over camera woman missed 1st and 3rd Akmal 4s. Has to be a woman.

Mubarak ho, sehri khaein.

Re: 4th ODI: West Indies v Pakistan, Gros Islet, St Lucia, Sun July 21

MoM should be the guy who excersies the most influence to turn the game around...

Samuels' ton didn't help WI to win the match but Misbah's role on the crease did influenced the match in his favor... :)

Re: 4th ODI: West Indies v Pakistan, Gros Islet, St Lucia, Sun July 21

Should have been Misbah!

Re: 4th ODI: West Indies v Pakistan, Gros Islet, St Lucia, Sun July 21

This - in a rain reduced game...

**
Pakistan won by 6 wickets (with 6 balls remaining) (D/L method)**

Re: 4th ODI: West Indies v Pakistan, Gros Islet, St Lucia, Sun July 21

I Agree. Man of the match adjudicators often vote as if they have got their heads buried in the sand. It should not always be the highest run-scorer or wicket-taker but the man who actually influenced the outcome of the match. It should have been Misbah. His 53* (SR 123) was instrumental in Pak winning the game

abhi time hai thora :p

Re: 4th ODI: West Indies v Pakistan, Gros Islet, St Lucia, Sun July 21

A good win. Before the rain came the RR was climbing

Good to see Misbah finally showing some intent. Had had enough of his tuk tuk. Superb knock from Umar Akmal at the end but he needs to bat at #4. Hafeez played well but he's too inconsistent with the bat. I still don't think that he's an ODI #3. Afridi is back to his useless self with both bat and ball

Misbah SR > 100 A MIRACLE INDEED

Re: 4th ODI: West Indies v Pakistan, Gros Islet, St Lucia, Sun July 21

Shehzad is desperately out of form and in need of a big score in the next match to boost his confidence

Re: 4th ODI: West Indies v Pakistan, Gros Islet, St Lucia, Sun July 21

Umar needs to come in at no. 4 and told that their no rush..get settled then hit it out...he has all the shots in the book to play after all...

And yes Hafeez belongs at no. 6 ahead of afridi perhaps..

Afridi o Afridi...plz show some brains...

Re: 4th ODI: West Indies v Pakistan, Gros Islet, St Lucia, Sun July 21

congratulations to ALL! :)

i think DRS is quite unfair system which gives undue advantage to the side batting second. in today's case, the WI main bowlers had almost finished their quota of 4 overs. the part time bowlers were utilized on both the ends. WI side was clearly disadvantaged.

given Pakistani team's performance in the past, i doubt they would have been able to achieve the target of 262 to win. the middle order may have capitulated under pressure...

besides, Tuk Tuk MisbaaH would NOT have had 100 Strike Rate.

well, that's what i think.

at the end of the day, WI had agreed, reluctantly though as Bravo's demeanor suggest when he was handed in the DRS paper, to the system prior t the game so they have to accept the defeat.

Pakistan vs West Indies 4th ODI Highlights - 2013

Re: 4th ODI: West Indies v Pakistan, Gros Islet, St Lucia, Sun July 21

Normally when Misbah comes to bat Pakistan inning is in danger and have to survive 35-40 overs with 6-7 wickets so he has to wear the turtle shell. Today we had 8 wickets and only 14 overs to play.

Re: 4th ODI: West Indies v Pakistan, Gros Islet, St Lucia, Sun July 21

I cannot help feeling that the rain intervention greatly helped Pakistan's cause. Chasing 189 in 31 overs is not the same as chasing 262 (which seemed a formidable total) in 50 overs. Otherwise we would (most likely) be looking at another loss. Pakistan are formidable in reduced overs matches.

How I wish our batsmen would attempt such a positive approach regardless of the situation. Misbah and Hafeez had licence to go knowing they had less overs to face and a smaller final total to get.

We all know how Pakistan do when chasing anything > 225! Every batsman goes into their shell

Re: 4th ODI: West Indies v Pakistan, Gros Islet, St Lucia, Sun July 21

Just give him MoM for confidence/morale boost.

UA would have been run out 1st ball with direct hit. That would have been 2 soft dismissals in 2 balls. Today Narayana (in the form of a rank bad ball - short delivery to Misbah) was watching over you guys.

Re: 4th ODI: West Indies v Pakistan, Gros Islet, St Lucia, Sun July 21

Some truth to that Kaptaan saab. Some would say the honorable Misbah goes into the turtle asana all too willingly.

Re: 4th ODI: West Indies v Pakistan, Gros Islet, St Lucia, Sun July 21

Arsalan: “Win or loose, Misbah has been the man of the hour too often. It has become fashionable to blame Pakistani demise on Misbah. I see him next to Imran Khan (yes, the Imran Khan) as the most successful captain. A captain’s success isn’t measured by the number of wins. Heading a Pakistani cricket team takes much more than just winning matches: politics; match fixing; etc. Take everything into account!” — He has said it all. Time to shut everything down and go home..

Very True :jhanda:
Misbah we are proud of you :jhanda:
