Overcautious batting approach and Misbah’s miscalculation prevented us from winning the last game. Although this was not such an important game, Misbah’s goof-up in the 3rd ODI reminded me of IK’s mistake when he gave the last over to Saleem Jaffer (I think he’s one of the selectors now) in the 1987 World Cup SF against Australia in Lahore. Jaffer was hammered for 18 runs and Pakistan lost the match by the exact same margin. Should have been himself or Wasim Akram. In the 3rd ODI, Pakistan were 110/3 after 35 overs (RR 3.14)
They scored 119 at almost 8 an over in the last 15
Got to do much better with the bat in the first half of the innings
