Pakistan have squared the series with a 38-run win, and their satisfaction is evident. Shoaib is hopping around like a youngster! We will be heading to the Rose Bowl on Wednesday with this series well and truly alive. It seemed as though off-field distractions had finally caught up with them as they struggled through a lacklustre first innings before Abdul Razzaq's late rollicking cameo boosted their score into competitiveness. Andrew Strauss and Steve Davies then gave England a great platform with a positive 113-run opening stand but once they were separated Pakistan kept chipping away, knowing that reverse swing could prove decisive at the close of the innings under lights. Against the odds, they're clawed their way back from 2-0 and, with everything that's occurred off the field, there is bound to be continued interest ahead of the final game of the series.
Not the kind of result England wanted after yesterday. They surely wanted to prove a point that they can beat Pakistan and finsih off the series tonight. Maybe Ijaz butt will now say that he was just playing mind games with English team
But one thing is for sure. No matter how much people will say that this series have been devaluded but the fact is ths is one of a kind series. The competition has been top class in the 4 games and frankly speaking all the of the field drama has turned this series into something bigger than a regualr competition. Winning the series will be a matter of honour for both the sides now.
