Michael Slater describes Iftikhar as a hybrid of Kapil Dev and Pramodya Wickramasinghe in terms of bowling action and Javagal Srinath in terms of build.
anyway how he is hard working player and being my town fellow always requested his friends to pray that someone got unfit and he gets the place in team
but i think he is nice bowler and should give permanent place in ODIs instead of Gul which is not effective now a days
