If Sami is dropped, Danish should join the team.
I wonder when we will give opportunities to (Shahid + Imran)Nazir/Irshad. Certainly not in these high-pressure situations, but eventually they have to be called. Lankan tour seems to be an option.

Sadagopan Ramesh
Was/Is a talented batsman. Was last selected for the Australian tour. Played well in side matches(did not get to play in the real games)…but the selectors dumped him after the tour without giving him any more chances.
Nikhil Chopra
He is no longer in the reckoning. He is now one of the umpteen ex-cricketers giving “expert-comments” on Indian TV Channels.
Rajesh Chauhan (Left-arm spinner)/
“Chucking” had something to do with his career ending prematurely. Nevertheless, he is too old now (I guess around 40) to be in any serious contention for a place in the side.
And Dhobi jee, next time you have questions such as the above, Cricinfo will be a good place to start.

Sadagopan ramesh is not a talented batsmen. He never moved his feet. His style was very awkwerd. I shudder to think of the likes of him opening the batting for India. Gambhir is like 1000 fold better than him.
He now makes a living by commentering in local tamil channels.
Re: 4th ODI Pak- Ind Feb 16 - Multan D/N (Afridi out) -- All merged
I have a bad feeling about India's batting..it could collapse easily ..considering that at least 3 batsmen have "job security" issues :
Gambhir
Kaif
Raina
Bowling is not exactly free of problems either. I have been a supporter of Zaheer but he has been very disappointing lately. RPS bowled all over the place in the last one-dayer. Sree Santh was OK ....though gave away runs in plenty.
In any case Romesh Powar should be inducted in place of Agarkar or RPS.
Re: 4th ODI Pak- Ind Feb 16 - Multan D/N (Afridi out) -- All merged
I am not sure about Kaif. He is usually not a "formy"(play depending on his form) player. Small scores in the previous games does not matter to him I suppose. Besides he is a good fielder and same goes for Raina too. I am more worried about Gambhir. If he is not going to sort out his inability to tackle the moving ball then he is a sitting duck for Asif. We could see his middle stump flying.:)

I did not know there was a talk of the series being called off until I read the below news :
Multan ODI to go ahead
Rajiv Shukla, senior member of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), has said that the match between India and Pakistan would be played in Multan as scheduled on Thursday and ruled out any change in the itinerary of the Indian cricket team.
“Let me assure you that the match is very much on,” Shukla told rediff.com on Wednesday evening in New Delhi.
India Television had reported that the Indian team is likely to return home without playing the fourth and fifth one-day internationals because of the tension in Multan, Lahore and some other cities of Pakistan.
Multan city witnessed large scale arson by crowds who were protesting against the cartoons of Prophet Mohammad that were printed in Denmark newspapers and reprinted in many other European countries.
Home minister Shivraj Patil and his colleagues were attending a dinner hosted by Prime minister Dr Manmohan Singh and hence their reactions could not be ascertained.
A top official of the intelligence bureau said that as of now there is no threat to the Indian team and hence the remaining two matches to be played in Multan on Thursday and last one in Karachi to be played on February 18 could go on as scheduled.
“So far we have not got any alarming signal from our officer who is with the Indian team. We know the situation is bad and we are keeping a constant vigil on it. If the situation deteriorates further tomorrow in Multan then there is a possibility of match being called off because we would not like to take undue risk with our players,” the officer said.
Senior home ministry officials are also in touch with the security agencies and management of the Indian team in Multan to keep themselves abreast of the latest developments.

Rajesh chauhan was a right arm off spinner, when I saw him last. How did he manage to change into left arm spinner? Did his “chucking” with the right arm had something to do with it?

Cricinfo column on Shoaib’s mysterious injury is bollony and crap!
Shoby’s injury is quite serious and discomforting for quite some time now.
He shall be heading for SA soon for treatment. Any other notions to his injury are of jealous minds and anti pakistan elements.
