was RP singh really that good that he deserved those 4 wickets?
Salman Butt again? Was that a good idea.
What really went wrong? why did we lose.
was match fixed?
How do you find Arun LOL and his stupid comments during the match
What do u think of inzi ? Imran khan said durin lunch straightdrive that his BODYLANGUAGE WAS NILL! Dravid was all serious b4 match and inzi was standing there unserious and joking around.
Re: 4th ODI - After match discussion [GS Analysis]
the only gud thing from pakistani point of view was a gud cum back by sami :k:
n u r asking wat went wrong?everything!!starting from the toss to the last ball bowled!
Re: 4th ODI - After match discussion [GS Analysis]
Asif should have bowled his 10 overs straight. Your team put up a miserly 160 runs. He is your #1 strike bowler, so you had to take a chance and see if he could get early wickets when the batsmen are under some pressure. You vary the bowlers on the other end. You put up an agressive field. But yah the body language of our players didnt look positive. They had lost the game mentally before the Indian innings started.
Re: 4th ODI - After match discussion [GS Analysis]
Salam ppl,
Inzi bhai is lost all (balkay most) of the time on the field. His tactics are completely off the hook. There was nothing in the match today. Inzi needs to think more for a change instead of Alo gobi kay parathay.
The bright side of this series is the emergence of Mohammed Asif. This guy is to watch for. If he can perform the way he did in Pak, imagine wat would he do outside Pak. Thumbs up for Mo Asif.
Re: 4th ODI - After match discussion [GS Analysis]
what a waste of a match? great stadium and crowd !!! pakistan disappointed a neutral cricket lover like me today with a pathetic batting display!!!come on ---On this pitch get out for 161 in 42overs. this is pathetic, it really took away the charm of IND-PAK tension matches especially after the lahore match. any way i feel pakistan is way more talented team now (than it shows today)!!! just disappointing.........
Re: 4th ODI - After match discussion [GS Analysis]
No pointing fingers at anyone - A well-deserved credit to India for an outstanding display of cricket!
From the very first ball, it seemed like our openers, especially Salman Butt, looked in a awfully defensive position, with the ultimate goal being to take the shine off the new ball. He did manage that, but not for long. His partner at the other end, Kamran Akmal, fell victim to one of the best fielders in recent Indian cricket. Dravid possibly deserve to receive catch of the series award at this point, alongwith his tremendous strategic decisions throughout the series. An all-round athletic display of cricket by all Indian players. Certainly stopped a handful of rockets, and hardly let the ball pass by (I could only count one misfield that resulted in a boundary towards the beginning of the innings). Almost all of the batters were subjected to a terribly fantastic bowling by Pathan and RP Singh. The only negative aspect in the bowling department I can think of, as far as India's point of view, is the selection of Agarkar. Other than the mention, I do not see any weaknesses, especially in their fielding side. Suresh Raina just seems to blend perfectly well, amongst the mix of Yuvraj and Kaif.
We have no one to blame but the poor mindset of our batsmen, and pathetic choice of shots. After witnessing the manner in which Salman got out in the last two (2) innings, it was a given that his confidence was not at an all-time high, and it showed. After listening to Inzamam's recent interview on GEO on Captain's Corner (especially when he laughed away when asked about the criticism being placed on the team due to their past performances), I had an immovable feeling (being a stern man Inzamam is, with his "final" decisions almost made during the interviews, effectively trashing the public condemnation) that they will not play proper cricket, or at least that's what it seemed like in the hindsight. Even though the pitch had grass in it, rest assured, had it not been the defensive guard and an extra layer of security shield that the player wore, they would have gotten to a much decent start. That is basically what killed us. The rotten and shoddy opening initialization were the main setbacks, and India capitalized and exploited our weaknesses very well. I still don't have a single clue as to the decision by Inzamam to hold back Asif in crucial moments, and bringing Rana in place of him.
In conclusion, even though one is welcome to continue to rip apart the bits and pieces of Pakistani Cricket, let's also not forget that this is a gentleman's game, and today was India's day. Hats off to a great victory, coupled with extremely measurable bowling, astounding and marvelous fielding and splendid judgment calls by their skipper on various ocassions, a trait which one hoped Inzamam would have learnt at this point in time, but alas......
Re: 4th ODI - After match discussion [GS Analysis]
dhobi bhai, inzi is such a loose captain, i dont understand his tactics at all, although im no big fan of younis i really think younis is a better captain than inzi
Re: 4th ODI - After match discussion [GS Analysis]
Believe me, and yes I agree with you, Inzamam has one of the sloggiest minds a captain can have in World Cricket. After Pakistan lost the third ODI and fingers were being pointed at our weaknesses and eyebrows being raised related to our pathetic performances, we were tormented and subjected to "Don't hit the panic button now" posts. That is when it actually mattered. At least I am glad to know that there are at least a handful of people, who, when the chips are down, not only stick to their side morally and emotionally, but also pin-point out the weaknesses in every department by posting their heart out, and yes, I am one of them. I will be happy to rip apart my side to shreds if they continue to behave in such a horrendous manner. Unforgivable!
The entire team's morale was ridiculous, to say the least. The body language of Inzamam, from the moment he walked into bat, screamed as if they had already handed the match in a silver platter. Constantly we saw people praying in the stadiums, hoping that somehow Pakistan will pull a miracle, somehow, that garbage mind of Inzamam will strengthen itself, but what have you. After all said and done, we have lost the series. Seemed like yesterday I clearly remember "Jeez, don't hang them now. Are they the culprits already?"
Re: 4th ODI - After match discussion [GS Analysis]
gud thing it was multan :k: inzi wont be so much loved now will he?
experts r saying that the captainship n game plan is really bogus, previously pak hav won purely on excellent performances by players not by clever strategies.but our dear inzi doesnt pay attention to these ppl shame
Re: 4th ODI - After match discussion [GS Analysis]
The way I see it, there are two side to this equation. Even though there will be a huge amount of criticism placed on the shoulders of Inzamam, the fact of the matter is, previously, even though we have won games based on a strong unit, the ultimate reason the pendulum was drifted in our favor was because of individual/team performances. Inzamam’s captaincy, never once, has improved from the day he took over the duties, until now. He is still in the same ‘age-old’ mindset, not improvising when necessary, and not thinking outside of the box. A simple look at Dravid suggests that even a simple strategic plan change in either second or third ODI might have carried a potential to have done the trick for Pakistan, but due to the complete and utter laziness of our captain, alongwith the ridiculous body language that he has displayed throughout the series, it is of no wonder that such a thing was bound to happen. Once again, eyebrows were raised, concerns were being made, but “dear captain and his boyzzz” seemed protective from the “Panic Button” shield.

very well written dhobi bhai. Good job. Keep it up.
Re: 4th ODI - After match discussion [GS Analysis]
Well there it is, a 3rd consecutive humiliating defeat. Don't let the scorecards of the 3 games fool you, none of the games were even close. In fact even more disappointing than the defeats was they way we lost. We had lost the last ODI series at home against India as well, but at least we had put up some fight. This series was given away without any semblance of spine or fight.
Pakistan lost all 3 games within the first hour, losing early wickets consistently on flat batting wickets. The fact that our bowlers were hammered as well was just insult to injury.
The script in all 3 matches has been the same, the only difference is the varying degrees of embarrassment. The fact that Inzi and the team management had scoffed arrogantly at any criticsm of the team has now come back to haunt them. Public reactions work both ways. While the Indians learned from their mistakes and got better game by game, the Pakistanis stubbornly persisted with negative and defensive tactics.
Congrats to the Indians, but I will say this, Pakistan lost the series more than India have won it by poor captaincy, batting, bowling and fielding. Remember, we had this same Indian team on the mat after the test series and the first ODI.
I hope Inzi and co. take responsibility for this defeat and plan on taking some actions to prevent such mishaps in the future. They ignored the 2 previous defeats but this time they should sit up and take notice. If you are willing to take all the credit for previous victories and recieve many public accolades, parades etc. then be prepared for harsh words when you lose. With the World Cup around the corner we cannot afford to brush this under the carpet and rest on our past victories.
Re: 4th ODI - After match discussion [GS Analysis]
I didn't see the end of the match and therefore didn't listen to Inzmams interview.
What excuses did he offer this time regarding the 'boyz'.?
With Inzmams captaincy, the constant changes in the batting order, poor batting & bowling performances etc...........we will be very lucky to reach the semi final of the world cup.
They have important and difficult series away against England and if they don't sort themselves out than we will be in for more thrashing.
