The lease on my Honda Pilot is expiring soon. I am in the market for another SUV and I am debating weather to go with Nissan Pathfinder or Toyota 4Runner. Any suggestions?
I am looking for one with a 3rd row.

Re: 4Runner or Pathfinder
also look at the new mazda, looks nice.
i think 4runner is rated better but I personally like the pathfinder
Re: 4Runner or Pathfinder
Definitely 4Runner, you can also check Highlander 2008 models are hot.
Re: 4Runner or Pathfinder
I just found out (by visiting a dealer last night) that the 4Runners don't have 3rd rows anymore. Thats a bummer. Big time. I was seriously considering it with 0% 36th month financing option offered.
Re: 4Runner or Pathfinder
4Runner's 3rd row option has to be specially ordered. Very few dealers have it in stock. At least thats how it used to be. Not sure if they have removed the 3rd row option entirely.
Pathfinder was very rough in drive, when I test drove it several months ago. And seemed sorely under-powered unless you go with the larger engine.
Honda Pilot is car-based SUV. Pathfinder and 4Runner are truck-based SUV's. Ride quality has zameen-asmaan ka farq. If you want 8-seater (and do not plan to go off-roading on a regular basis), my suggestion is to go with a bigger car-based SUV.
There are many fantastic options at various price points ... Acura MDX, BMW X5, GMC Acadia, Buick Enclave, Saturn Outlook, Toyota Highlander, Mazda CX-9, to name a few. My personal favorite is Mazda CX-9 for its price and feature set.
Re: 4Runner or Pathfinder
Had a pathfinder until recently...it rocks...but used mostly for off-roading!
