can i just say thats theres absolutly no point in asking for a bit of help here..
all i did ask was if anyone new any stories or quotes we could tell children and i get NO response.. no point in asking in the first place…
After posting a message to Shafiq who’s grandmother is ill, I remembered this story:
FOOTPRINTS
One night a man had a dream.
He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Allah (swt)
In the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand. One belonging to him and the other to the Allah (swt).
When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprint. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest times in his life.
This really bothered him and he asked Allah (swt) about it. Allah (swt) you said that once I decided to follow you, you would walk with me all the way. But I have noticed during the most troubled times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don’t understand why when I need you the most in my life you would leave me.”
Allah replied, “ I love you and would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you only see one set of footprint, it was then that I carried you.”

Hey Cinders.. chill sis, I don’t know why you didn’t get any replies to your first thread, Its probably due to people not remembering any stories you could relate to children. Thats what probably threw them, and now that its Ramdhaan shareef .. you know how difficult it can be to think on an empty stomach !

Kajoor… nice one yaar, I’ve read that story many times before but everytime I read it, it just reminds me again and again of how Raheem our Allah is.

I heard this some time ago, its not much of a story but its nice !..
When a person falls ill, Allah Taala sends an angel to take away three things from that person.
- His Sleep, so that he can no longer sleep at night
- His hunger so that he loses his appetite to eat and
- his sins.
When the persone get better Allah Taala sends the same angel to go back to that person and give him back..
- His Sleep and
- His Appetite.
The Angel asks the Almighty, 'O Allah, when he fell ill I took three things away from him, how come I’m only returning 2 things back to him ??.. Why not return his sins back to him also ??.. To which Allah Taala will reply ‘When he was ill, he remembered me (meyri yaad kar raha tha)and because of that I have chosen to forgive his sins’..
I don’t know how authentic that story is… but its nice and especially for kids to teach them how much Allah loves them.
Death is only the Beginning.
Thank U!
yeah i have heard the first one b4.. thanks appreciate it!
"do not be jealous in any way of those things which Allah has granted more freely to some of you than to others; to men is alloted what they earn, and to women what they earn. (4:32)
