ISLAMABAD: More than 0.139 million Pakistanis were deported from 47 countries in last two years for various offenses, said foreign minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri.
During question hour in National Assembly on Friday, Mr. Kasuri said 47 countries including Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, the United States and Iran had repatriated 1,38,936 Pakistanis in last two years for illegal entry, overstay, involvement in criminal activities etc.
The minister said Saudi Arabia deported 51,195 Pakistanis and this was the largest number of Pakistanis repatriated by any country in last two years.
He said Bahrain sent back 50 Pakistanis, Kuwait 507, Oman 20,388, Qatar 200, UAE 32,503, South Africa 1727, Iran 15,849, Turkey 13,530, the United States 184, Canada 125, the United Kingdom 276, Italy 229, Cyprus 201 and Afghanistan 575 Pakistanis.
It becomes an issue when you treat them like slaves, pay them measly salaries while they work in the burning heat of the desert, and they're deported back like unwanted fleas.
Not to blame the middle eastern countries entirely, Pakistanis do have a pretty bad reputation for living in countries illegaly - esp here in SA now since immigration controls have become so tight in the US and UK.
We also have a bad repuatation in the "trusting" area. It's sad that we can't trust our own people cause the minute you do you realise they've just ripped you off. In urdu terms ulu banagiya.
But at least we can produce some good movies giving the impression that Pakistan is one of the most developed countries in the world where everyone speaks English with a flawless Indian accent.
Nobody forced them into going there, if they wanted respect they should have stayed with the poverty in Pakistan, can’t have your cake and eat it too..
Pakis are thought of as scum in every part of the world, by Middle Easterners and Westerners alike… Indians also weren’t regarded very highly by many people but because of their media peoples opnions are changing about them and they’re winning a lot of respect…
Where did you get that idea? There are tens of thousands of illegal Indian immigrants in scores of countries, and they have also been routinely deported from acoss the Gulf and other places.

What the hell are Pakis doing in places like Iran and Turkey? I doubt job prospects are any better than Pakistan or salaries are relatively higher. I read a report some time ago where a bunch of Pakis were deported from Israel. Just WHAT THE HELL were Pakis thinking?
Actually, per capita incomes in Iran and Turkey are 3 or 4 times higher than they are in Pakistan, plus those countries are on the land routes to Europe.
Overseas Pakistani’s send back billions of dollars in remittances to Pakistan every year, and they should be applauded for that.
