4000 rapes in Iraq and counting

The ‘Rape of Iraq’ Acquires a New Meaning

“Despite the shame surrounding the events of rapes, where the youngest victim was 9 years old and the oldest was 64, four thousand cases of rapes were involuntarily exposed”

“On the arrest of Iraqi men at their abodes, the wives and sisters are taken hostages by American soldiers to the open desert. In most cases, children had to witness their mothers and grandmothers being beaten and ravished out of their homes by the Americans”

Can the american sickness get any worse?

Exporting the American dream or American sickness?

Rape rankings

  1. United States 89,110 (1999)
  2. South Africa 53,008 (2000)
  3. Canada 24,049 (2000)
  4. Australia 15,630 (2000)
  5. India 15,468 (1999)
  6. etc

4000 seems an overstated figure somehow.

I hope that it is overstated by that amount and no atrocities of this sort took place, but knowing the american behaviour to date this is totally within expectation....totally.

given the current CBS pics,

many must be hidden from camera. and will not be reported ever, some soldier will reveal the info when the retire and have some guts to say the truth, something which american are not good at.

be wary of the disinformation spread by intelligence agencies at this point.. while most reports we've heard so fare are true.. it wouldn't be long before these agencies spread fabricated information in the shape of news, photos and movies around for gullible America-haters to grab and redistribute so that the agencies can then calmly debunk their authenticity and thus sweep all available evidence of military misconduct under the rug..

the rape photos and other material has been shown to be a hoax.. which is not taking away from the possibility that women and children are being mistreated.. but whoever heard of a 'just' and 'fair' war?

This age-old expression comes to mind: “Statistics don’t lie but liars use statistics”!!!

Given the huge disparity in population, one would expect there to be more rapes in the US than in SA, Canada and Australia. From the same source, let’s look at rapes per capita for these countries:

  1. South AFrica: 1.23 rapes per 1,000 population;
  2. Australia: 0.79 rapes per 1,000 population;
  3. Canada: 0.74 rapes per 1,000 population;
  4. US: 0.30 rapes per 1,000 population.

Guess our women are substantially safer from rape than their counterparts in South AFrica, Canada and Australia.

Now, ask yourself why certain countries seem to score very low on the rape-o-meter. This disclosure from the website provides the answer:
“Crime statistics are often better indicators of prevalence of law enforcement and willingness to report crime, than actual prevalance.”

Love all those statistics....

Those "rapes" in western nations however represent REPORTED rapes. Anyone want to examine the cultures that don't report rapes? OR perhaps believe that the woman deserved to be raped? Or perhaps the woman deserves to be killed because she reported the rapes?

This thread is a joke.

Rape is an abonination well beyond war zones, and goes completely unreported and unrecognized in large portions of the world.

Old Christian saying, "let he who is without sin cast the first stone". Those participating in this forum should carefully examine the issue of rape before posting unfounded articles with bogus statistics....

Re: 4000 rapes in Iraq and counting

This can’t possibly be correct or can it?
