Re: 4 weeks to go --- suggestions from those who moved abroad

i wunder too...i heard that most people from sub-continent have this **"amoebic dysentery"**** germs so taking one tablet of Prescription Drug called *"FLAGELLUM"* for 15 days prior to the medical exam helps. i took this tablet and my test results were fine.**

Re: 4 weeks to go --- suggestions from those who moved abroad

well i didn't move abroad, or even very far but i think the basics are the same for anyone who is moving. the main difference for you is that you are limited in how much you can take.

so first figure out how much you are taking. you will have X luggage allowance of 30 or 40kg i guess (which is one large suitcase, or two medium). are you having more shipped or sending unaccompanied boxes as well? so you will either have one or to lists; one for the suitcases and another for extra stuff.

now, i'm a bit ocd about organisation and packing, so i would sort through ALL my stuff so that everything is left organised. even though i wasn't moving far and i could leave things and get them later, i still sorted through everything including old paperwork. i was brutal and got rid of a lot of stuff. since you can't take everything with you and there's little point in the things you leave behind, you need to take a similar approach. if it's not being packed, do you really need to keep it? and if not, give it away or throw it out.

personally, i would get my suitcase out in my room, so i can start putting essential items in there as i sort through everything, which will also help you see how much you can actually take if you are not familiar with packing.

so start at one place and slowly work through everything. the dresses that are done can go in the suitcase. make a pile of the unfinished ones and make a list of the missing items, which you can tick off as you get them. go through your cosmetics and decide what you will need for your wedding and to take with you and get rid of the rest now. and so on. the best way to figure out what you need to take is to go through all your stuff and make a list of the items you think you need, then if it's too much you can work on cutting it down.

hi sweety. far as the dieting goes, you need to exercise alongwith. one pound will be shed for every 2700 calories you expend. its basic math and very effective. keep your eating below 600-700. you can easily achieve this by eating low fat yogurt and low fat milk, salads without dressings, excluding breads and grains from diet. its tough to do that, but you remain full and its below 600-700 diet. plus your body will naturally expend 1200 calories just by living daily. so thats 2700 - 1200 = 1500 calories needed to be burned. since you are eating 600-700, need to burn those too.

so burning a pound is possible by burning off 1500 + 600 = 2100 calories. in a day it can be done. treadmill at high incline, within an hour you can burn 800 easily. its simple math. get on the weighing machine daily on this routine and daily you shall see a difference. :)

am doing it myself these days! good luck!

Take a diary and start writing about your suits first. That is which ones are complete you put atick mark on them, the rest which still have duppatta etc missing you leave out and start getting these things done. Get things that are to be sewed first as its Ramadan and it will take time. As you get each suit complete, put tick marks against it. Also, in your packing list write down youreducational documents and all others that you shall need including of couyrse passport. Also write down shoes and purses. Shoes are very heavy, and baggage allawance all over the world is declining (I am going to assume that you would try to remain as under the baggage allowance as possible) so if that's an issue I suggest you take as miimum of shoes and purses as possible and take more clothes as you can buy shoes and purses all over but Pakistani clothes are hard to find. Ditto for cosmetics, you can buy them anywhere. Take 3-4 lipsticks, 2-3 nailpolishes 5-6 eyeshadows, one mascara and eyeliner , 2 blushes and foundation and a perfume or 2 . I would take an eyebrow pencil as well. jewelry should be on the list too. Therst of the stuff that you can't manage you can keep aside and take them when you visit home. don't forget a diary of phone numbers as well. If you are going to take your cell phone (assuming the country you are going to will have cell phone technology compatible with the one you are using) don't forget to add the charger to the list too.

For anemia, try eating beets (chuqandar), apples and kala chana. Also would recommend oatmeal with chicken soup in it. Don't go below 1200 calories a day.

ESR is a test that measures inflammation in the body, not the number of red blood cells. If your ESR was above the normal range, it is possible that you may have been running a slight fever when you went for the test.

RBC [Red Blood Cell] is a component of the CBC [Complete Blood Count] test. If your RBC was less than the indicated normal range, you can improve your RBC by eating foods that are high in iron content, such as dates!

Take a basic starter kit of your personal items such as hair , bath and body produts so that you dont have to go shopping as soon as you land. And in case you have to meet someone as soon as you land.

Identify with what your going to need as soon as land in your new country!! Things you won't get there and need to take from your base country to where you are going.

Best to keep three to four boxes in your room and start putting things that are complete away. so this way u're not over burdened at the last minute. Try to keep a photo journal of all the things you have packed.

Keep a print out of your LIST some where on your wall , so you know everyday how much is still left for you to do.

Find out how you are going to take everything with you, as in how many kilos are you permitted etc...

You will also have to decide what you will carry on you on your flight. Things like jewelry cant be kept in suitcases.

Keep spare clothes, undergarments and shoes with you in your handbag on flight incase your luggage is lost or delayed.
