rem 1s upon a time i promised u k i’ll b tellin u sumfin abt glass paintin, may b it was last yr or was it da yr b4 dat :bummer:

khayr jau bhi hay i remmbrd da promise bus not havin enuf time so
recently when i got a lil free tau just thot 2 acknowledge da promise :smiley:

so here goez…

well simple glass paintin is v ez, u just hv 2 draw da outlinez of your design wid glass lead on glass / mirror n then fill da inside of da design wid any of da glass paints available like Crystalline n Transparent etc.

da best thing abt glass paintin is dat if you eva do sumfin wrong u can just erase it by thinner or kerosine oil, haan da disadvantage is k glass
breaks ezly esp if u hv brotherz @ home :hoonh:

1.Stencil or design of your choice, i had calligraphy so i had 2 use da design frm da reverse side

2.Plain Glass of any size according 2 da design

3.Synthetic Enamel Paint, m not usin any glass paint coz i wud b workin wid black color on plain glass, black glass paint cumez v light

4.Mixing Oil 4 da enamel paint

5.Round (size 0,2 & 4) and flat (size 8) paintin brushez

6.Glass lead; it cumez in tubes n can be found in black, silver, golden and copper colourz

7.Paper or Plastic tape

8.Damp Cloth / Duster in case u dun wana kha galiz from aunty

Step 1: 1st spread n old newspaper or plastic sheet so dat your floor/carpet dun get painted

Step 2: cover da 4 edges of glass wid paper tape if you don’t want 2 cut your handz, i kindda got use 2 it so i dun tape em now :smooth:

step 3: paste da stencil design wid da glass by tape so dat it can b removed after wardz. Stickin makes tracin da design on glass v ez

step 4: Drawing wid Lead tube is just like drawin wid a mehndi cone so if u r xpert their, it’ll b v ez 4 u. however 4 practice 1st hold da tube like a pencil n then try drawin on sum faltoo glass piece like i did wid da mixing oil bottle :smack: . always hold da tube wid an angle

haan if it gets wrong then dun’t try wipe it forun hi, instead wait 4 it 2 get dry n then just peel it off :smiley:

step 5: when your hand starts to move freely then start tracing da design on da glass, i had 2 make a calligraphy so i had 2 paste da design from da reverse side owise my da aayat wud hv appeared inversed.

step 6: when you r finished wid outlining, leave da design 4 dryin up.

step 7: when it's dried chk out properly dat u hvn't left out any space n then remove da stencil, it wud luk sumfin like tis frm da side where da lead was applied

step 8: n frm da reverse side it wud b like tis

step 9: First start fillin da gaps b/w da designz wid black paint. use da round brushez; 0 n 2 number 4 cornerz n crooks n 4 number 4 more wider placez. If da paint seemz thick then u can add sum mixin oil. bus just b careful dat wat place you suppose 2 fill n wat not dependin on ur design.

step 10: when all da internal of da main design is filled like tis

then fill da remainin area wid da flat brushez. use big n leveled strokes. rem ev fin has 2 b done on da side on where da lead waz applied

step 11: When u’ll b finished wid da task ur paintin will look sumfin like tis.

leave it 4 dryin up, enamel paint takes much more time then glass paint 4 dryin. when it’s complete dried hold da glass against da sun, if you’ll c lots of white pores in it then apply another coat of enamel paint. another coat is also recommended if da black colour seemz light. sumtimez i even had 2 coat a single glass 3 timez just 2 get da required efffect :bummer:

step 12: after drying up if u find any enamel paint leaking in da space of design. clear it up by usin a cotton bud soaked in thinner or kerosin oil. i use ear budz 4 tis they r v convinient 4 narrow n thin designz.

step 13: now 4 da final touch. take da kitchen’s almuniam foil n cut it in a piece double da size of ur glass.

step 14: then crush da foil in ur fists, ( i always fink abt ma finance teacher doin it , itta acha crush hauta hay na :halo: ) when it’s enuf crushed then open it carefully so dat it’s not teared apart

step 15: now paste this crushed sheet on da glass wid da help of UHU or any other glue. haan paste it on dat side of glass where da paint was applied. Then give it 2 da frame wali shop 2 get it framed n then feel happy on cin da resultz
