Yes , but unfortunately he lost concentration 2 balls after that and threw away his wicket. He should have seen off the day esp knowing the fact that a joke of a batsman (Gangu Teli) was coming next.
Reminds me of the Melbourne test against the Aussies in 2003 dec…Sehwag scored 195…threw away his wicket trying to hit another SIX(he had just hit 2)…and India subsequently lost the match. Sehwag keeps saying that he has learnt his lesson from that match, but yesterday he proved he has not.
Its hard to criticize a player who has scored a double century, but one would have hoped he had been a tad more responsible.

Do you know that Geoff Boycott was dropped from the team once after having scored a double century because he batted too slowly for the team’s benefit.
That is not to say that the same applies to Sehwag.
Sehwag is a different character…the thing I like about him is that he does not let the match situation get to him…he lives/bats in the moment…and that is such a great attitude to have (towards life and cricket). That is why it pains me everytime he gifts his wicket away…because I know the other batsmen don’t have the same mental make-up as him to handle pressure.

despite the fact that only 160 overs left (min), match will be descisive. the way bowl is turning for spinners now, i am sure that indians - batting at last day will have difficulty. india can win the match too as they have 2 spinners in side nd pak can crash on 200.
so i would say, keep ur hopes alive. this baby will end up to be a close call

Guys,,, I would love to see a Pak win as well, but the facts are the facts. Regardless of how we bat, Im not convinced that we can bowl them out again. We are missing one more Pacer, and tha tis blindingly obvous. Razzaq is not a test quality pacer.

First of all Some1 , Sehwaq didn’t “threw” his wicket. Yes he lost his concentration and it was a soft dismissal. Also give a credit to the bowler. The bowl was turning and if I remmember correctly he was playing against the spin,misjudged his timing and thus gave a simple catch to danish (he played this type of shot throught out his inning). It wasn’t like he got out on a ball by going for a needless six. There were a lot more high risk shots involved during his innings. I won’t say he gifted his wicket. It was his time to go and he did a marvelous job for the team!.

yes, very cruicial first session of the day...lets hope pak gets india out within the first 15 overs, and the paki batsmen score a quickfire 200 or so, forcing india to bat again chasing a target of around 300 - 350...the pitch should assist in dismissing the indian batsmen on day 5...
