a good performance but against a second-string bowling attack, no Akhtar, no Asif, no Gul :k: I very much doubt that India would have recovered from 61/4 to this series-winning position if Akhtar was fit

yeah…and its indias fault that pak decided to play a half fit akhtar and an incompetent kaneria. you can keep your doubts to urself bcos no matter what u say / doubt, its not a small thing to score double hundred in an innings. as for the excuse of missing akhtar, asif, gul etc…sehwag scored 300 against the likes of shoaib n saqlain mushtaq at multan http://www.cricinfo.com/database/ARCHIVE/2003-04/IND_IN_PAK/SCORECARDS/IND_PAK_T1_28MAR-01APR2004.html. wht happened then? even the gr8 inzi was in the team.
