Go...read my posts in the 2nd test thread... Even before the match had started, I had said that ICC should do something about close LBW decisions.

Irrespective of which country is at the receiving end, I feel that LBW decisions today depend largely on the state of mind and the mood of the Umpires at the time when the bowler appeals for LBW -so there is a tremendous amount of luck involved which is not good for cricket.

Bucknor simply refuses to give plumb LBWs at times. He is not necessarily biased but may have become incompetent due to the age factor. For a bowler, like Anil Kumble, who gets many of his dismissals in LBW, this is not a good thing.

well then talk about how the rule should be changed. don't come to this site to complain about how you guys have already lost the third match because bucknor might be the umpire. I could say the same thing regarding pak's chance of winning if that other guy ( I can't remember his name) gets a chance to officiate the next match. You are right, both teams are being screwed, but don't tell me how the umpire was responsible for hindia's defeat. Just like pak lost because of our bowlers shortcomings, hindia lost because their players inability to score runs.

I would rather Pak play their full-strength team and India give them a Multan-ish dhulai...
Does anyone know if Buckor would be officiating in the 3rd test... if he is......... well...congratulations Pak on winning the series 2-1.
We'll give your hindustani players such a dhula in RP that they'll be fleeing across the LOC in their cricket gear.

Let me try and make a prediction: the team whose supporters would brag more would loose and if both brag equally we can expect a tie.
So if you want your team to win stop bragging :frusty:

:k:

LoL, sahi kaha

u got ur degree in fore-seeing or something???
or was it revealed to u as a ‘wahee’???

bacchey, remember the dhulai we gave you at lahore. Shouldn't you be worrying about that. oh, I forgot, Pak won because the umpires and hindia won cuz of the dhulai the brave hindians gave to us. My apologies.

I heard that Sami was injured:eek:

is it truE?

Sami declared fit for third Test

The injury-plagued Pakistan team heaved a sigh of relief on Sunday when fast bowler Mohammad Sami was declared fit to play the series-deciding third Test against India starting in Rawalpindi on Tuesday.

Sami, Shoaib Akhtar’s new ball opening partner, was suffering from a “slight niggle” in the back but is expected to do duty in the decider.

“He has a slight back niggle but that is normal with fast bowlers. It is not serious, and we are confident he will play in the eleven on Tuesday,” team manager Haroon Rashid said.

Fresh doubts over Sami’s fitness were raised after the fast bowler did not bowl in the nest on Sunday but Rashid said his problem was related to food poisoning.

“He did not bowl in the nets today because he suffered from food poisoning early morning. But he is okay and is in the fray for the final Test,” he said.

Sami’s injury scare had hit hard an already depleted Pakistan bowling attack which is without Lahore Test hero Umar Gul, paceman Shabbir Ahmed and all-rounder Abdul Razzaq due to injuries.

I hope this news is true. Maybe we will have to wait for some reliable source.

Two reserve pacemen impress Inzamam

Two reserve seam bowlers got a vote of confidence from Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq on Sunday as mystery surrounds paceman Mohammad Sami’s fitness ahead of Tuesday’s third and decisive test against India.

``Sami is down with food poisoning but the doctors have said he would recover in the next two days,‘’ Pakistan team manager Haroon Rasheed said.

Pakistan cricket selectors have included three uncapped fast bowlers _ Rao Iftikhar, Rana Naved-ul-Hasan and Abdul Rauf _ along with Fazl-e-Akbar in a 17-man squad. Akbar, 23, has claimed 10 wickets in four test matches, but has not played in the national team since a match against New Zealand in March 2001.

Naved-ul-Hasan, 26, has played three one-day internationals but is yet to get a chance in a test match. Iftikhar and Rauf were included in the squad after impressing selectors with their performance in domestic cricket.

``Fazl and Rana have bowled well in today’s practice session and looked in good shape,‘’ said Inzamam after facing both fast bowlers in the nets for half an hour at Pindi Cricket Stadium.

``The wicket looks to favor the seamers and I think we have enough backup bowlers to support speedster Shoaib Akhtar,‘’ he said.

wha..not Rana. Please play Rao Iftikhar. Let's see this Pakistani McGrath. Let's see if he's better control over his line/length than Umar Gul.

fazl-e-akbar… :k:
as khanu wud say “barri game hai is ki” :stuck_out_tongue:

Please not Rana! :smack: I hope they Iftekhar Rao.

btw, I feel sorry for Akash Chopra... Bucknor, by showing him the finger, in the second innings at Lahore may have derailed Akash's career.

I dont think the plan to have Yuvraj open with Sehwag is a good one. Chopra is the perfect foil for the aggressive Sehwag. And now, we are going to have two attacking batsmen open the Indian innings and that too in a test match....the 3rd test in my opinion is too important to try out a new combination for the opening slot...

Also, Akash Chopra is an outstanding fielder at forward short leg plus I do not have high hopes from Gangu .
I think Indians will ask Patel to Open in this test. Simply because Yuvraj has excelled in Middle order in this series and Ganguly doesnt wana come up to open the inning. But in the long run they will settle for Yuvraj as an Openor and I think Yuvraj is a very good batsman of fats bowling and he will do good inopening slot. Sorry to say but I think Akash chopra will not play test match for unless Yuvraj fails as an Openor.

C’mon no more rana please:crying:

Back on Sami:k:
