Avoidable reasons for our series failure:
-- Catches (not fielding), catches catches. Major culprits, Kamran Akmal, Imran Farhat
-- Quick Wickets: losing a second wicket soon after a wicket falls: culprits: Faisal Iqbal, Kamran Akmal
-- Openers: Not ONE good start in 6 innings. Very terrible performance. Quality of bowling, conditions, umpires, everything aside, just randomness of results among 6 outings would show ONE good opening partnership. Didn't happen. Imran Farhat got 4 innings, Butt got 4 innings and they failed terribly. They simply cannot give the excuse of 'not being sure of their place' in the team. Regardless of what the cirucmstances were, 4 innings each is MORE than enough for anyone to perform at least once!
These were the avoidable reasons, of course there were some unavoidable ones that we can lament, but can't really blame anyone for. Umpiring mistakes, runouts, comical dismissals, lady luck was just not with us.
Let's hope to really thrash England in the last test and the ODIs to finish the series on a winning note.

What is Ramiz talking about? They did put up a fight. He walked right into David Gower's trap who is disappointed that Ramiz is with him in place of Nasser and he can't continue his gloat-fest.

There are no dead rubbers. EAch test match matters, even if you have already lost the series. So hopefully we'll hit back in the next test.

Thats what happened when India won the ODI series in Paksitan, they forgot their loss in tests. However we have got to win the last test. A 2/1 loss is much better than 2/0 or 3/0.

No that’s actually quite smart. Why risk half fit match winners for a dead rubber? We cannot have them miss out on another tour again, their future takes precedence over any sort consolation points in the ranking table.

There is no such thing as dead rubbers in tests man, I have been saying this for so long now!
Three words: ICC Test Championship. How do you think that gets decided?

So you are saying that 3-0 loss compared to a 2-1 loss would do us more damage than losing the next series? Or losing the ODI series? Or missing out on ICCT or WC?

Yes, especially because of your assumption that it will risk Asif getting injured for those matches. Such care should have been applied when everybody supported sending Asif to play county cricket. He should play if he has recovered 100%, and shouldn't if he is NOT 100% fit. Nothing else to consider.
