Nice come back right at the end, although we should have got Bell. But honestly, even if England were to declare at this score, Pakistan would still be up against it. This wicket is getting harder to bat on.

For those who saw the game (1st day) live, can they elaborate how did Shahid Nazir bowl overall? and please dont compare his bowling to Sami, I know I can bowl better without watching what he did.

Shahid Nazir was the best performer froom our side till Umar produced two late wickets. He was unlucky not to have pieterson twice (one snick not given, one catch dropped) and some of the deliveries he bowled were absolute snorters. Was a bit weary in his second spell and understandbaly so, it was his first match at international scene after so many years.

Pakistani bowlers had a very mixed and unlucky day. They had Kevin Pietersen clearly out only at two followed by Cook, after that the game just slipped away. The wicket was very good for the batsmen and they took advantage of it. In First Test, it was our fielders, now the umpires along with our fielders. Jeez, how many chances will England get to take the game away from us?

A bad decision was made by PCB earlier in February that we are still paying for. They decided they wanted Asif and Rana Naveed to ply in English conditions. I think this was a very costly mistake when we knw that Shoaib Akhar was already in doubt at that time. We are paying through our nose for their injuries. I hope they learnt their lesson and never do it again. It wasn'g as if Pakistan was going to go into the fifst match without any match practice all all. That'swhat they are for. Dumb Dumb decision to get our main injured players before such an important seris. It would hae been helpful if our BATSMEN were snet htere, bot NOTbowlers.

Forget teh numer of wickets taken and runs conceded. More of than notou canjude a bowler bymerely seeing him in the nets. And Shahi Nazi'r sccontrol was not even n the same leage as Sami. I hope this is teh lAST mathch Sami ever plays. I am drowsy on meds, so pardon my typos anad all
