Re: 3rd ODI, Pakistan vs Zimbabve, Multan Cricket Stadium, Jan 27, D/N
Absolutely stunning performance by Afridi. Again he proves how important he is for Pakistans team and had the chance to make PCB shut up. But whats with Mohammad Yusuf the favourite of many here. Has done nothing special t this series yet. I see non criticizing him. Where is Saby? :D
Secondly why is Akmal still in the team? Its time to bring in the lads!
Hussain played pretty well.
He has made Malik and Lawson shut up with this match saving performence. PCB hasn't said too much about Afridi lately and its because of Sallu Afridi is even playing these matches...remember before the series started...Malik and Lawson clearly stated they don't want Afridi in the team and want to play an extra bowler in his place and also want to open the innings with the joker Kamran Akmal. For once, Im glad that the selection committe has the power to decide the final 11 for home games.

This is third time in a row, we haven't been able to take 10 wickets against Zim. It is not like we do not have bowlers because usually we get quick wickets. Mostly because of Sohail Tanvir. I am really impressed by him. He is very athletic, tall, decent tail order and confident. The only thing lacking is pace. Another great thing to see was Waqar Younis monitoring bowlers before the match. This is great news. I don't know whether PCB and Younis have worked things out, but Waqar's presence is essential for players like Tanvir. If he can increase his pace along the way, he will be an assest for Pakistan.
Butt and Malik continue to dissapoint. This is why I don't like Malik, he can not lead the side, on top can not perform as captain. PCB needs to rethink the captaincy issue before the Australian series. There is no killer instinct.

True, even me is starting to think that Malik maybe not suitable since he doesnt have that "killer instinct" (rightly said so). But again I believe we need to provide him more chances. Maybe he needs to get more practical experience.
However I think we need an Afridi in this site very much. So If Malik does go against him then I dont need Malik as a decision maker anymore.
