Re: 3rd ODI Pakistan Vs West Indies -28 April 2011
If I am not wrong is this pakistan's first one day series win in Wi?
na we previously have won a ODI series against them in Inzi's captaincy in WI

Misbah :hbk:
Re: 3rd ODI Pakistan Vs West Indies -28 April 2011
Don’t get all the Misbah bashing. Now that Younis is not in the ODI side, we need Misbah even more for his experience and steadying influence in the middle overs. He has batted consistently, scoring runs when Pakistan have needed them of late. He is just not a good finisher like Miandad or Inzi but neither that nor his age is a good reason to drop him. Without him we would have lost today for sure

Re: 3rd ODI Pakistan Vs West Indies -28 April 2011
all the haters here check out Misbah's record first
74 ODIs - 2183 runs - HS 93* - Ave: 44.55 - SR 78.15 (very good for a middle order batsman; Miandad's SR was 67.01 but that was mainly because he often batted in a crisis situation, Inzi's SR was 74.24) - 16 x50s
Re: 3rd ODI Pakistan Vs West Indies -28 April 2011
Now they should win it 5-0 inshallah.
Re: 3rd ODI Pakistan Vs West Indies -28 April 2011
misbah bashers dont bash him because of his overall career average or strike rate

absolutely
and as you know very well GA...I said that to you and others even after the WC'11 SF...that simply Pak batting does not have a finisher like Inzi of late and Miandad of the earlier era. Otherwise Misbah's form needs to be reaped by the selection committee for a few years now. the only place I don't see him for certain is the T20 format. There are too many good new faces to be tried in that format. E.g. Hammad showed great temperament today even in a pressure situation today.

Misbah :k: awesome ending by wahab

You are right, they bash him because Misbah doesn't follow people's wishes of increasing strike rate when THEY want it.
Re: 3rd ODI Pakistan Vs West Indies -28 April 2011
or when its needed to save the match.

Re: 3rd ODI Pakistan Vs West Indies -28 April 2011

Re: 3rd ODI Pakistan Vs West Indies -28 April 2011
Yeah, he only increases strike rate when HE wants it.
Yah...after he's already lost us the game with his slow batting!
