294 isnt an impossible run chase... if pak can chase 321..they can do this too.... its a good surface.... they can do it
got lotsa hopes on shahid afridi , younis and misbah.. and i hope yousuf plays dont try to play test match in this match...

it will be a tough ask for pakistan, the pitch will be tricky, and mohali like run chases don't happen everyday

It was another strange performance in the field by Pakistan and captain. Afridi and Gul had off days. SOhail Tanvir was magnificant. :k:

There's no energy between the Pak team.. There's a gap between the seniors like Yusuf/Akhtar/Afridi..etc Makes the youngsters uncomfortable.

I am a great fan of 280-299 target scores. This kind of target score, inspite of being very close to 300, tend to put the chasing team into a false sense of comfort that they are chasing a below 300 score.
Much like how something is priced $ 999.99 in the market to psychologically fool the customer into believing that he is not paying $ 1000 dollars.
A 300+ score makes strategy making very easy for the chasing team....which is ...go out and HIT everything that comes your way. A 280-299 target score, however, puts the batsmen in two minds.
The pitch from the looks of it....appears to be hard to understand...some ball bouncing...some others keeping very low...some balls turning viciously.
But if Yuvraj, Dhoni, Pathan can tonk SIXES on this pitch, so can Afridi & Co.
So, match nicely balanced at this point.

It's almost a 300 chase. One thing is for sure Pakistan will have to bat out of their skins to win this one. har roz 300 +/- chases achieve nahin hotay. I think the start as always will be crucial. A good start like the other day and the match could well go down to the wire
For me India are favourites at the moment
