Apparently there was so much celebratory gunfire after the death of Saddam’s sons that 31 Iraqis were killed by bullets falling to the ground and another 70+ were injured.
Can you imagine the hue and cry that would erupt if bullets from US guns killed and injured as many Iraqis, regardless of whether it was accidental. I suppose somehow, someone will blame the US for these deaths and injuries. Come on you America bashers, let’s get a good theory posted for why the US is responsible.
31 Iraqis killed while celebrating
From correspondents in Baghdad

THIRTY-ONE Iraqis were killed in the capital by stray bullets from celebratory gunfire marking the deaths of Saddam Hussein’s sons Uday and Qusay, a Baghdad newspaper reported today.
Seventy-six people were also wounded, 40 of them seriously, Al-Moatamar, mouthpiece of Ahmed Chalabi’s Pentagon-backed Iraqi National Congress, reported citing hospital figures.
The victims included two children, the paper added.
The US government announced the deaths of Uday and his younger brother Qusay on Tuesday after a blistering gunbattle in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul.
The US-led administration outlawed celebratory gunfire as part of new weapons controls introduced in early June, but acknowledged that the practice would be difficult to stamp out.
ofcourse USA is responsible for the death of these innocent civilians. they killed uday and Qusay, thus paving the way for these innocent civilians to celebrate, resulting in the deaths of 31. now you tell me how can one not blame USA for the death of these 31 innocent civilians? :~)
This news is not without a twist. We know how media twists things to mean something totally opposite what it really were.
It is true that 41 people died of bullets but the reality is that these bullets may have been fired as a sign of mourning and not celebration.
The bullets were fired out of mourning.
Must have been fired out of mourning.
Surely it was mourning.
No other explaination will cut.
If they had been killed by the invaders then all we would have heard is that either they were remnants of the Saddam army or, "so what by killing 31 we have saved the Iraqi nation from the cruelty of Saddam" or "imagine how many would have been killed if Saddam was still in power", so on and so forth. Thats how you justify the massacre of over 6000 innocent civilians. Don't you?
