It started last year as 30 Mosques in 30 Days, Aman Ali and Bassam Tariq’s Ramadan journey through NYC’s Muslim Community. Their photo-blog was widely covered in local and national news outlets, from NY1 to NPR. This year the pair will be road-tripping all over the country for the 30 days of Ramadan, breaking their fast in a different state each day.
Here’s a link to their website:

This is an awesome way to raise awareness around Ramadan and expose the diversity of the Muslim community in the US.

I have tried to Fast during Travel, but there is a very strong ruling against it by either Maliki or Shafeii school…to each his own!
Like I said above, I asked a scholar from Syria, he insisted that we not keep fast during travel! so there…
there’s a mosque in las vegas???
I suppose if there can be one in a place called HINDUstan, then it can be anywhere.
