30 EGGS

What is this thing about seperating and eating only egg whites and egg yolks? Whats the reason? Ive always wanted to know....

Hmmmmm… :hmmm:

Thats exactly what my husband makes me for breakfast sometimes! He puts it under a hot grill when its done on the underside, then it souffles up a little bit and the cheese melts and the onions go golden brown.

Mmmmmmm.

Re: 30 EGGS

gah!!! i’m drooling over here, RH… delicious!
this was our saturday morning breakfast when i lived at home with the folks- and the tradition was that dad would make breakfast on saturdays cos mom did it every other day of the week.

bunny, egg yolks have a lot of cholestrol in them and they’re generally not considered very health. egg whites don’t. i find egg whites on their own either scrambled or in an omelette give me heartburn, so i keep a 2:1 ratio, i.e. 2 egg whites, 1 egg yolk. it cuts down the bad stuff but still gives me flavour!

WHOLE EGGS
Reputation: Yolks are bad, whites are good.
Reality: Important nutrients reside in the egg’s center.
Recommendation: One whole egg a day.
In the early 1970s, eggs became the poster children for high-cholesterol warnings, causing a precipitous decline in the number of eggs consumed by the average American. But when you throw out the yolk, you’re discarding many essential nutrients, including folic acid, vitamin A, selenium and amino acids–the building blocks of protein. A jumbo egg has only tire grams of fat the majority of it unsaturated.
“You can benefit from egg whites,” says Percival, “but you can probably get more benefit from whole eggs, and they’re not detrimental when eaten in moderation.” That last word, of course is key. If you add one whole egg to your otherwise egg-whites-only omelet you can retrieve those important nutrients and improve the overall protein profile of the omelet itself.
One large egg: 75 calories 1g carbs, 6g protein, 5g fat (2g sat. fat), zero fiber

What do you do with the yellow parts?

I think someone may have already mentioned this...but a fast and easy way to use up alot of eggs at once is making deviled eggs, if you are going any place soon where there will be a bunch of people

Re: 30 EGGS

I throw away most of the yolks. Though sometimes I may save one for facial mask. The egg white omelete is good and since it uses a lot of eggs, those egss dissapera fast.

make custard and freeze it into icream...

Re: 30 EGGS

Re: 30 EGGS

^ :rotfl:

Hmm, I think I have a better idea.

  1. Remove eggs from the refridgerator

  2. Put on apron to protect my clothes.

  3. Drag you out of the closet

  4. Throw the 30 god damn eggs towards your face

  5. Wrap and bandage your face.

  6. Feed you halal chicken tacos

  7. Throw you back in the closet kicking and screaming

Yeah, I think THATS what ill do with those eggs...
