The monogamous couples ‘Oceanus and Tethys’ gave birth to about some 3 thousand daughters, all known as Oceanids and were assigned a particular body of water, cloud or pasture. Oceanus and Teghys might be known as god and goddess .

Greek philosophy is far more different from Indian one. Also greek philosophy is part of muslim education, so this might be entirely muslim perception that Indian philosophy is anyway influenced by greek.
Incidentally both are Aryan philosophies, so might have had same initiation but different routes :)
