More than anything else, I really hope that these brutal murders of three innocent Muslims - who were valuable members of the society - teaches an extremely important lesson to all those** self hating Muslims who love to generalise and stereotype all innocent Muslims as evil enemy within and outside. They may not realise but their irresponsible and knee jerk generalisations and stereotyping actually places innocent Muslims’ safety at great risk. Yes, go around saying "we the Muslims, all the Muslims - yes all of us - are terrorists, Hitler lovers, racists, murderers"**, but then don’t be surprised when next time you or your children one day find themselves at the receiving end of the most violent, most abhorrent form of racism because some white terrorist in US with a gun decides to believe in all those dehumanising anti Muslim generalisations and in his head thought ‘yes you are a Muslim, you are a terrorist, you are an extremist, you love Hitler, you are a racist’ and I will get rid of you.

Who exactly has referred to ALL Muslims like this? Who are the “self haters”? If the word “we” being used is such a problem for some people perhaps they need to work more on their language skills..

“We are going on holiday” doesn’t mean “all Muslims are going on holiday”, "we’re having a baby doesn’t mean “all Muslims are having a baby” so why do *some *people on this forum continue to imply the word “we” is a problem and must mean “everyone” or “all Muslims”.. It’s really bizarre

Such exaggeration and ridiculously inflammatory language (“self hating”.“appeasement”, “Hitler lovers” and “slave mentality” as seen in a couple of other threads) tend to come from right-wingers rather than those who genuinely want people to live in peace and harmony.. It’s not smart and it doesn’t make your argument any more convincing.. This sort of language I’d expect to read from someone like Anne Coulter, an extreme zionist or member of the EDL..

An article that reminded me of this thread.. Just replace the word “Jew” with Muslim and we have some similar attitudes here.. It’s actually quite sad:

My heart goes out to the families of the victims and I’d hope people would want to band together instead of taking the opportunity to spread more hate and bitterness.. Same goes for the “Hug a Muslim” thread.. It’s easy to sit behind a computer screen and constantly b*tch and make snide remarks.. At least those people were actually getting off their backsides to try and do something to help foster understanding between communities..
