this article is pretty funny but they were successful at the end of the three days- 3-Day Potty Training for Kids: Does It Work? - iVillage
has anyone else heard of this book/tried this method? did it work for you?
Re: 3 day potty training
Mine mastered it on the second day.
Then stopped on day 4. And it took another 2 months to figure it out.
But we did not go cold turkey during the nights.
If you're doing this method, definitely wait for ages 2.5-3.

Re: 3 day potty training
It seems as if everyone is after me to start training my almost 27 months (m’A) soon.I am not liking it a bit. When I am the one to do it solely, leave me alone ..!
Every time I go to Target or walmart I tell myslef I am gonna get pull ups and that seat thingy.
Nothing has scared me more about motherhood,as has this toilet training thing.I feel I cannot do it…![]()
The more I read about it,the more scared I get.I read about kids regressing and going back to from where they started and how some take days to get the hang of it,then irregularity issues.I need some motivation ,serious motivation to start it.

Re: 3 day potty training
chipsy, do it at a time where you don't have too many other stresses.
for some reason it's thought to be easier in warmer months, so it might be worth giving it a try soon.
but i think there's no way to know when exactly they are able to control going peepee, and hat's really the deciding factor.
pullups are essentially diapers, but not quite as padded, so you may not need them OR you may just use them if you start training and suddenly it seems like E isn't quite ready. Or honestly if you have to go out to a formal event in the early days of her training.
it IS hard and stressful, and you have to decide whether she's ready or not or whether you're sticking with the diapers because you're afraid of the change. You'll know. And then find the right time in terms of your schedule.
Re: 3 day potty training
5 out of 7 days her feeding issues cause enough stress already...:(
I have started to notice she tells me when she wants to go poopoo. So that might be a sign to start.I also notice dry diapers more frequently and if I carefully observe I will be able to get an idea of approximate times she will pee.
I am prepared to stay indoors for a few weeks if we have to so as to avoid any confusion.I have also heard summer time is the better time to do it and I might give it a shot but then with Ramadan around the corner,I also do not want to spend the rozas cleaning up accidents and half the day in the washroom.
I am aiming at starting it right after Eid.Should be warm enough during the day for another month or so ,she will be a lil older than 28 months (iA),and hopefully we will be totally ready..!
And if all goes well,we can proudly tell her pediatrician at 2.5 year visit that we have achieved this milestone as well..:D
It will be nice to know if anyone else tried this 3 day approach and how it worked for the,,,:)
Re: 3 day potty training
I've just trained my 24 month old, she mastered it in 2 days without accidents mashallah mashallah, try it you never know she may be ready, if she's not then just put nappy back on and give it a few more months ...
