…has anyone here read this book? What did you think of it?
I just ordered it. A mother at my sons school was talking about it today. I told my hub and he saw 2 women on a recent plane flight reading it - it seems to be VERY popular here. And sounds like an amazing story.

I love the book. I recommanded it to another guppan and she loved it too. I also recommanded it to one of my prof and the book has changed her opinion about Pakistani people. She also plans on including it in our service learning curriculum. You should definately read it. It is an amazing story and very inspiring at the same time.

Thx lusi! I've been looking at the author's websites and he seems like an amazing guy with a wonderful organization. I already requested info on their "Pennies for Education" program because I think my son would be SO into helping build a school over there. lol I have all these plans going on in my mind now! but i think it would be SUCH a great experience for my sons to help and hopefully get some internet conversations going between their classes and classes over there

it's a must read!! and yes, Greg Mortenson is doing some amazing work in pak...it's inspiring...
