3 countries that could not survive for long without US generosity

Yes. Sadly that's true. We are suffering at the hands of religious fundos, who are driven to bomb, kill, and limb chop, in order to achieve their ultimate goal of implementing Islamic Sharia.

Re: 3 countries that could not survive for long without US generosity

We r also suffering in so called war of terror in which US has killed more than i million innocents muslims of Iraq and Afghanistan

Kahin ki eeant, kaheen ka rora,
bhan mati nay kunba jora.

Oh bhai,

If a Muslim commits suicide or gets killed in Arabistan, how does it make it necessary that a religious fundo must kill a Pakistani to protest the killing in Arabistan?

Why a typical Pakistan says "we are suffering" at the hands of Israel, while his house / school is being burned down by the Islamists?

Do you see any disconnect in your logic, or you are just oblivious to the realities?

Re: 3 countries that could not survive for long without US generosity

how many times has Pakistan been slapped with sanctions? quite a few...and Pakistan made it through those times just fine.
Pakistan does not rely on US aid....our corrupt rulers do. Otherwise, if honestly ruled, Pakistan has enough capabilities to survive without US aid.

At least twice.
---Once as a result of the 1965 Kashmir LOC violations
---Secondly as a result of nukie program.

Remember in both the cases, the sanctions were on military supplies.

Civilian programs through world bank and other organizations were still given money (though unhappily). And that's why Pakistan survived. If they had ever put under REAL sanctions like Iran or Korea, we would be a big basket case country like North Korea.

Sanctions do not just stop Aid, they can stop everything. In extreme cases they can stop the money flow, and then Pakistan will not be able to pay in order to buy food, fuel, medical equipment, spare parts, computers etc. etc.

We should not boast about the "slap on the wrist" type of sanctions. Even those had a bad impact on us.

In today's global world, everything is linked and none of our systems will operate if they are cut off from the rest of the world. It is rather childish to say we can survive the sanctions. Even industrialized countries like Germany and Japan will go down very quick if they ever get sanctioned by the USA. And that's why most of the prosperous countries stay on the good side of the USA. Only basket-case-wanna-bees try to emulate dimwits like Kims, Nejads, castros, and chavezes.

Can you not see that a minor hickup in the US financial systems has caused worldwide recession? Just imagine if Pakistan was completely cut off. The problems would be 1000 times worse.
