Peterson played a blinder just like Tanvir. Still SA have not dominated Pak in this test, considering they are the number one team in the world with the best bowling attack.

Well played Pak so far. Now score around 250/300 and the match is ours.

Now Pakistani openers are going to have a fourth try at the new ball under more asian like conditions,.....there is really no excuse now for them to not be able to negotiate the new ball session and survive. At least one of them needs to bat through.

Inshallah.

But the thing is our bowlers, fielders and captain should have tried and done better in the first session or so. We have a psychological problem with our team (batting, more so), and with a 100 runs lead they’d have been on top. Now with the advantage gone, all rests on a good batting performance.

And we all know they rarely occur for this team. I mean we have the worst keeper of all time, particularly when it comes to batting. A lot rests on one or two players, and in a crunch situation like this, if they deliver, we make a match out of it, if they don’t in the 2nd innings, we’ll be done. Much more aggressive captaincy - and much more lethal bowling was needed to turn things our way.

Let’s see nevertheless, I’m not the one to lose hope, like ever. But this SA team at home will smell blood now.

For the next match I would swap Hafeez for Rehman and open with Azhar.
