we lost it when we let them go to 330 after restricitng them to 105 for 5...
Pak showed some fight...but as i said before...with an exception of younis and ajmal, our team is epitome of mediocrity and mediocre players can only get you so far..sarfraz, rahat, hafeez, tanvir, jamshed, gul, azhar ali, misbah..they are all just OK players....some will learn with experience... and I am not being negative....they are working hard and playing as a unit and I am happy for that.....

I was expecting a lot from Pak fast bowlers but they have been useless in this series. Even Gul has been ineffective.

and guys...consider this...one of the most high profiled series and our key bowler injured himself for 2 test matches.....how? i know he was not injured in the ground.... then what was he doing that he got injured so bad? i mean, incidences happen but that is what we call professionalism....protect yourself in the series at any cost...what was that idiot doing?

Hafeez was turning the ball sharply in the last over, hwy didn't Misbah use him before in place of that useless Tanvir. Msibah has to take a lot of blame for this defeat, first with his poor shot to get out and now with his captaincy in the second innings.

A close game in the end.
Pakistan fought hard but 182 was always going to be difficult to defend. 250 might have been enough. Well-bowled Ajmal (10 wickets in the match)
My worst fears came true. Batting in second innings has effectively cost us the game and the series
But the turning point of the match surely was our inability to take a big first innings lead /letting SA get close to our first innings score despite having them reeling on 109/5 (Junaid was sorely missed here). Hence the importance of having depth in batting. SA's wicket-keeper (DeVilliers) is a proper batsman and they have genuine all-rounders (Kallis, Peterson) who can bat well.
Once SA almost drew level with Pakistan's first innings score, the result was a foregone conclusion

The series is gone but I do feel that Pakistan need to strengthen their batting and play 7 batsmen in the next test. Haris Sohail should be given a chance

I think we should drop Hafeez, bring in Rehman and open with Azhar. The attack should be Gul, Junaid, Irfan, Ajmal and Rehman. Instead of Tanvir one more batsmen can be played maybe Taufeeq if he is fit
