Laxman is under observation

Middle-order batsman V V S Laxman, who was felled by a short ball from Mohammad Sami on day 4 of the second Test at Kolkata, will be able to come out and bat again, sources in the team revealed.

Laxman was hit just above the left eye with a sickening thud when he tried to defend against a short ball but failed to make contact. There was instant swelling and it didn't look good. Help was called for and Laxman had to go off.

Team sources revealed that there is no cut. At the moment Laxman is under observation and the team management remains confident that the right-hander will be able to come out to bat once the swelling subsides.

World greatest bowler on now . Younis khan

Re: 2nd Test - Pakistan vs India - Kolkata (Merged)

Younis khan to bowl....wtf???

Re: 2nd Test - Pakistan vs India - Kolkata (Merged)

that wasn’t too bad…

Re: 2nd Test - Pakistan vs India - Kolkata (Merged)

I think Dravid edged the last one on Younis. Not sure. They only showed it once.

Re: 2nd Test - Pakistan vs India - Kolkata (Merged)

Ok this is my verdict of the game …

India will make 325 declare !

Pakistan will chase and make history :dhimpak: and :jhanda:

Go pak go .. :hula: ..

Re: 2nd Test - Pakistan vs India - Kolkata (Merged)

Pakistan have lost this match pretty much....India would put on another 150-200 by tea or a little after tea and with a lead of 400 plus would declare.....before the day ends Taufiq would surely be back in the Pavillion and so would be Afridi and YoYo would follow soon so we will be three down over night....and all out by lunch, if that, tomorrow

Re: 2nd Test - Pakistan vs India - Kolkata (Merged)

Dravid did edge that one from Younis....the sound of the nick was muzzled by the sound of bat hitting the ground....should have been out....

Re: 2nd Test - Pakistan vs India - Kolkata (Merged)

It was out and a bad call, and the Indians knew it and that is why they didn’t show the replay more than once.

Re: 2nd Test - Pakistan vs India - Kolkata (Merged)

I think india is looking for 300 +

Re: 2nd Test - Pakistan vs India - Kolkata (Merged)

nothing like that is happening :snooty: inshallah

acrobi123: yeahhh.. thats the sprit we need :jhanda:

Re: 2nd Test - Pakistan vs India - Kolkata (Merged)

one thing is for sure, this indian team lack balls and will make sure that they only declare only once they have achieved a target of 400+

Re: 2nd Test - Pakistan vs India - Kolkata (Merged)

Exactly. Its outrageous that Yuvi/Kaif (esp. Kaif who is in tremendous batting form) have to warm the bench so Ganguly can be accommodated. Basically there are 10 players in the Indian team and 1 captain(who only does ‘Kaptaani’).

If I were Ganguly, I would volunteer to sit out in the next match in the interest of the country…let Dravid lead and Kaif be the replacement. Besides, Kaif is 100x better fielder when compared to Gangu.

Actually, there is a precedent to the above. I think it was Jeff Crowe(or was it John Wright - our current coach) who sat out of one match despite being the captain of NZ at one time.

But then again we are desis.
