The question I have for the cricket couch potatos here on GS is whether Inzi should set an attacking field tomorrow or try to stop the flow of runs?. If I was Inzi, I would go right back on defense. Suck the Indians from making anything more than 2 runs per over. India won’t declare with anything less than 325 as a target. At 2 for 90 overs on day four, India will manage 180 plus 147 = 327. This means Pakistan has to bat out ONLY 3 sessions or 90 overs. Pakistan can actually win in this scenario. What I fear is 4 sessions of batting. Pakistan won’t be able to survive 120 overs.

I really hope Inzi would attack for an hour or so (as he should) Because one or two quick wickets, we have Karthik in and there will be real jitters in the indian camp. But If india reaches say 200-4 then we should go a bit defensive.

Target of 240-280 is gettable. Much will depend on how long Afridi lasts up the order. (I have no hopes from Taufeeq but I will be over the moon if he proves me wrong).
