Need comments from Our veteran analyst @ehsan bhai who posted 4 times precisely only and only against Sarfraz in last thread holding him responsible for what was the typical batting lapse by entire lineup.
The batting scorecard in 1st inning of 2nd test starting from the dearest nephew:
but guess who was the top scorer??? If you dont know the name check the last thread and his name was used all over the threads by those who dont think beyond him.
Haven't seen pk batting only highlights. Cannot understand why our bowlers not getting that steep bounce which sa bowlers got and made our batters in deep trouble . Maybe coz of the pace.
some balls were unplayable . Specially that of zaman n azhar.
nice batting by shan n sarfraz. They played some confident shots. But the way sarfraz got out is very sad. Also that of babar azam.
Babar Azam, Asad Shafiq and Sarfaraz all average 35-38 whereas Sarfaraz is an 'all-rounder' so its okay but Asad and Babar are specialist batsmen and considered core of the batting line-up alongwith Azhar (tops with ave 44 in the team). That shows how strong our batting line up really is.
Just like we cannot compare openers with middle order players (except for people belong to fawad-city) we cannot compare top order with lower middle order. There is a reason sarfraz hiding behind middle order. To get the whole situation, wait for ball get old, get how pitch and bounce behave etc. so toughest job is for openers then top order and so on.
30 or 40 runs are better than 0 which is his hallmark in tests and one innings do not make a batsmen. I know the point you are making but everyone needs to score most of all the captain. If anything this test has reinforced my view that he needs to go as captain. Why did he not play Faheem, to go into test unchanged when you had just been whipped is height of stupidity. faheem and shadab were the main reason we won that test in Lords last year. Shadab is injured why was faheem not played instead of many of these brilliant batsmen he so loves. So when you say his 30 or 40 wont make much of a difference, while true, it also shows his lack of leadership and vision in getting the best 11 together. What we need is an Imran not a Safraz in tests. Yes my guns are trained on him and not without a reason.
look at "sarfraz haters" at espncricinfo
Bhavik: "Wasn't Yasir Shah suppose to be the 'X' factor in the Pakistan team?" Indeed. He's not been used especially well in this series
Once again Pakistan is down under SA poor performance by the Pakistani batsman .. very poor per...indeed when they will grow up to play grassy pitches...
Ok I thought you would know more than anyone else but just fyi, the final XI is never selected by the captain only. You can check all the teams and their modus operand!. Its the “tour selection committee” that involves coach and other touring officials as well.
So not sure how you said “HE” didnt play this player or that player.
While you conveniently forgot that he has scored runs in 70s and 80s against Australia as well.
But whats very clearly evident is that you are hell bent in blaming Sarfraz for every single thing.
so when he scores Zero, you make 5 posts hammering him by all means even posting some irrelevant person’s tweet comment
And when he scores 56, you dont have a single word to praise his inning??
I’m sorry may be I got you wrong. If you dont believe in giving credit when due then you can continue to say whatever if that gives you a good night sleep.
I would rather stick with the analysis based on performance more than any other thing. O btw, Good luck in finding Imran among the current teams given by selection committee.
How these narrow minded start getting personal just because of criticism on a player while they themselves have been hell bent on criticising previous captains. Cant even take criticism of same level they use to do to other captains.
Continue to ignore the main point of his lack of leadership and choosing an unchanged team. Hero worship does that, so continue. Unlike you my concern is Pak team not one individual
Any cricket captain who does not score more than 115 percent of his teams total does not deserve a place in the team.
Any captain who does not take more than 10 catches per inning should be booted out.
Any captain ......

Olivier to Sarfraz Ahmed, OUT, huge appeal and that's gone too! Up goes the finger as Olivier thumps the pad on a full length in front of off... Pakistan review... could there be a question mark over the height? Miles from the bat, but he was trapped on the crease, and that is clipping the bails!

Munafiqat # 1001, when hafeez score an odd fifty, comments would be like "his place in next season is cemented" if sarfraz scores an odd fifty, it should appreciated by the whole world.
After world beating batting including a massive 56 from our captain he quite rightly criticises the bowling. how pathetic of our bowling not able to defend a world record score of 177 runs in the first innings. The fault is entirely of the bowlers not the batsmen and certainly not the captain who after all scored a massive 56 runs. Hats off to him. With him as our test captain we will certainly hit the bottom ranking soon entirely due to our bowlers.
